Should it be Macross 7, Macross Frontier, or Genesis Climber Mospeada?
YOU get to decide!
I own both series on DVD but I have yet to watch them.

Weren't expecting me to know an anime with March in the title, were you? Especially not one where it is March, the month, and not march, as in walking with purpose.

Second shot done!
Woooooo +1! My dad is scheduled to get his second shot on Thursday.
Meanwhile, I keep angrily imagining Looney Tunes violence (falling anvils & pianos, running off cliffs, cartoon dynamite) on all the idiot a!sholes around here who won't wear a mask when I can't avoid going out in public.

Saw a guest come out of her room with a dog a little while ago while I was putting laundry away. Wouldn't have thought much about it, except for the way she sort of panicked and went back into her room when she saw me. So, I checked and no mention of a dog in that room, thus I charged her for it. If she had just kept calm, I wouldn't have bothered checking the log, and she wouldn't have gotten charged an extra $50 (plus tax).
I've seen enough sci-fi to wonder if the dog rented the room and the human was the bodyguard/pet.

Are there any eBay regular sellers on here? Can I ask an Am I The As!hole type question?** spoiler omitted **
OK, as follow-up, between when I posted this Monday and right now this morning, this dude has cancelled/re-cancelled this auction and relisted it 8 friggin times with zero changes to the listing. Literally 8 times. I don't know what in the Nine Hells is going on here, but I'm pretty sure it's got nothing to do with me.

Why NobodysHome isn't the most-loved curriculum developer out there:
Oh, it's actually pretty easy.
I'm going to do what the PMs recommend and have students create their own whatsit. And everything works, and it's all pretty and nice and chirping birds and flowers.
Then Optional Step 10: "And now use scripting to auto-populate that whatsit!"
And the trees burst into flames and the birds fall from the skies and the students see the truth.
I like it.
So it's all 100% straightforward and recommended by PMs until the last step.
And SOMEONE will make me remove it, but I'm going to write it just to prove I can.

By an odd coincidence, Lassie is actually called Lisacb in the (dubbed) version that was on Soviet TV in the 1970s.

It's really nice to have your cleaning person come in and love the bathroom and marvel at the drywall work done in both the bathroom and the living room. (Her ex was a painter by trade, so she knows drywall.)
Yeah, I have a list of 13 things I'm going to complain about. But there are quite a few things he did right.

It's gotten so boring in this Land of Medical Legalese Bureaucracy that I'm watching three different Netflix series, playing four different phone app games, gearing up for a PbP to officially launch this Saturday, and tracking down the ins and outs of properly running a socialite evoker for the Saturday night live table.
*sigh*

More circumspectly, it depends. The three "major players" in operating systems out there are Microsoft Windows (Microsoft owns and micromanages it), MacOS, and Linux. MacOS and Linux share a common ancestor (UNIX), but Apple has done its level best to make itself as incompatible as possible. Unfortunately for them, UNIX was a heck of an operating system, and you can still do a lot of Linux hacking from the MacOS command line.
So, Linux programmers, knowing they're the "little kid on the block", do their utmost to make sure they can run other people's software. Their Windows "emulators" (they insist they're not, but it's a good term) can run pretty much anything except really old or really new games, and even though I haven't tried it, they're probably almost as good at running MacOS software.
Why does this matter? Because ChromeOS is Linux-based, much like MacOS, so you have that underlying uber-configurability that they prefer you not know about.
If you understand how to use apt-get install, sudo, or add Linux repositories, you could probably spend a couple of hours on the command line, reconfigure your ChromeOS kernel, violate all kinds of warranties, and get the program working. You could wipe ChromeOS and put a real Linux kernel in there and have a much better chance of success.
Or you could just take, "No," for an answer.
And that's why people hate Linux users. Because, "No," is unacceptable.

What NH states is true, but for your purposes...buying a Chromebook for your parents... it's just best to assume it's not compatible.
Keep in mind that the user interface for the entire ChromeOS is a web browser. A Chromebook really is not intended to be a full laptop, despite some of their marketing. That's why I qualified my previous statements when you first asked about it: depends on what you want to do with it. If all they're doing is some web browsing and streaming, yes, it's all they need.
Woran mentioned the second part to that though, right after my qualified yes: the instant you want to run any additional software on it, well, it's not so easy. Doable, as NH said, but certainly not recommended if you aren't willing and able to do the research.
A lot of schools here...at least the ones who can afford to...give Chromebooks to all the students. They're cheap to replace, and you know a good percentage will need to be replaced. Most of the traditional productivity apps/suites (think Office or Adobe Whatever or Google Docs) all have an online version. Basically, if it exists as a website a Chromebook can generally handle it. That makes it a decent option for people that you don't necessarily want to teach how to navigate an OS just to operate a browser.

For what it's worth, and I'm sure it's not worth a lot, but I used Linux for a few months. Ubuntu, specifically. It wasn't as difficult to get used to as I thought it might be, but then again I wasn't using it for a whole lot. Every program I use regularly either had a Linux version, or I found a program that did the same thing (For instance, google drive doesn't have a Linux version, but I found one that synced to google drive anyways. Don't remember what it was called.). There was one exception, though. A piece of software I use had a Linux version, but it was less developed than the Windows version. So I used WINE to run the Windows version instead of the native Linux one.
And then that computer died, I bought a new one, and haven't felt the need to try Linux again.

Me: "Son, I heard you got in trouble today for using the 'F' word in class. Now, that wasn't fun, was it?"
Son: "No, Dad. It was 'F*#*'."
My favorite "older brother in kindergarten" story: He was doing one of those "fill in the letter" sheets.
"See the dog ru_."
"The boy is walking his do_."
He got to a boy and a girl with the caption, "The children are having fu_."
He chose the wrong two letters and my parents got a call.

Dad got his second Moderna shot this morning. No side effects so far. I told him to get it in the shoulder on the same side as his bad hip, so if the shot shoulder gets sore at night, he won't be sleeping on it.
It was the state run vax site, and they were a well-organized machine (in Florida?!) processing people, getting them their shots (1st or 2nd dose), and then sitting them down for 15-20 minutes to wait for possible interactions. They had easily a couple hundred people there moving through getting their shots. It was dang impressive and even a bit hopeful.
Just need to find a way to talk my "Definitely not getting the shots; I don't trust them." brother into getting his vax when the time comes. He's usually smarter than this, but his co-workers and wife put weird ideas into his head sometimes.

Yeah, California is still in "appalling mode": There was an article in the paper this morning about how "well" a vax center was doing for managing 450 vaccines a day, 4 days a week.
Er... 1800 vaccines a week in an area with nearly 8 million people is just pathetic. (Yes, it was only one center, but considering it was being hailed as one of the best in the area, it's no wonder California is lagging so hard.)

US Agent #3 is the most interesting political issue I have read since Sam Wilson Captain America(entire series) and Ultimate Captain America #3 and 4. Very hard read. Only go in if you have the stomach for it. Also there is an art typo that makes the second part confusing, hit me up if you have any questions.
