Yeah, swallowing half-chewed food sucks. Just try not to do like my brother did a few years ago. He was eating a sandwich with jalapeno slices on it and wound up with one of them going down his windpipe and into his lung. We took him to the emergency room, they did an x-ray, and while discussing the best way to retrieve it he coughed it out. So, he got to experience a few hours of searing pain in his lung, but at least it came out by itself.

O.O

This one doesn't need to be fixed.

Howdy folks. Had an awesome time at the little zoo in Norristown yesterday. Charlie enjoyed it, I think. At least he smiled a lot. Pics up on FB for those who haven't seen them yet.

And the wife is back in town. Huzzah! Charlie has his food supply again!

Also, started A Dance with Dragons last night. Very interesting so far.....

I don't watch the cartoon on a regular basis but I have enjoyed the few episodes I have watched. Certianly reminds me of the old gaming days.

The first five (or so) Google links will keep you busy for hours. It's more D&D than the D&D cartoon, IMO.

I just can't get past the animation. It's not that I do not like animated programs, its just that when its dumbed down from '80's animation styles I groan too much to watch. It might be the best thing since sliced bread but I have as of yet to watch a single episode.

Oh hells yeah. There were a lot of fans at Anime Next in Jersey. Finn's hat is a prominent seller on the con floor.

It is indeed the hotness. Currently on page 316. A little disappointed by one of the major plot twists, but still moving on.

Today is even worse. Trying not to swallow or even talk. Ow. I think it's only bruised, but am contemplating doing several shots of vodka to clean out any possible lacerations. Does one have to wait until after noon to drink if the intent is purely medicinal?

I don't understand. Why would you have to wait 'til noon if it was recreational?

It's after noon somewhere!!

[Clinks Bud can against CH's mimosa glass and JF's drink of choice]

L'chaim!

I had this understanding from somewhere that certain drinks (bloody mary, screwdriver, mimosa) were permissible with breakfast or lunch, but everything else had to wait until after noon in polite society.

I wouldn't suggest that, Treppa- your body is already in the process of healing. I would take a few whiffs of your breath(or better yet, have Studpuffin do it for you!!) to see if anything smells funny, but beyond that, I'm sure you're fine. Do you feel primarily a dull ache or a sharp one when you swallow? If you are feeling a dull ache, then you're probably just bruised and will heal shortly. If you have a sharp ache or you have you coughed up any blood(or had bloddy phlegm) since the rogue nacho, then you probably have a small laceration and will likewise probably be okay. Still, if you want a mimosa, I hear CH's are *almost* as good as mine.

It's dull. Intense, but dull, so you're probably right.

I think that's one of those old-fashioned things like not wearing white after Labor Day.

It's 2011. Drink your breakfast.

[Includes FHDM in toast]

Prost!

I hadn't thought about it before, but it makes sense that somebody in FreeholdDM's business would know about throat problems. :P

And I did drink my breakfast - a shake!

You could settle for gurgling the stuff, and wait until the afternoon to deal with the stuff below the throat.

If it is purely medicinal scotch is always okay. Now as for polite society depending on where the Brittish Isles usually have a liquid lunch. Brittian is in many cases deemed the height of society. So I think you are okay with drinking when you'd like.
