Heading down South for live parps.

Heading down to bed for sleeps.

Good night, Drejk.

Sleep well, O mighty dragon!

It got up to about 40 degrees today, not where I was working, in a backyard covered with trees, but somewhere.

Bobbo has given coworker a nickname; Nigel.

This is why I told Bob my nickname from high school, you never want someone else picking your nickname.

For the record, everyone where I work ends up with a nickname. There's Pops, Bobbo, Big (Slow) Pete, Rye Bread...

We got the flat. Now since I promised that we'd start looking at marriage only after we got our own flat(which will be built in 2022), I'm now hyperventilating because there's a whole lot of things you need to do before you can get married. We need to get a bank loan for the flat first thing. Then do the Registry of Marriage, gown fittings, wedding planning(including wedding dinner/lunch) and afterwards, house renovations.

While figuring out our finances. So yeah I think the only way I'm going to get calmed down is if I start making a list of things that need doing. I think I'll also be living with my BFs family after the ROM is done.

But it's like a completely new chapter of my life so I'm feeling overwhelmed. Don't know where to start...

*Sniffles and daps eyes with a handkerchief*

Kitty is getting married...

*Snatches up Mort hugging her while sniffling*

Need a turtle (or rather a bulky slightly depressing Caucasian) bridesman/maid?

I'm wondering if I should start working with sugar substitutes next. I will NOT touch aspartame, since its the stuff that sends me to the restroom.

Ehh…

Think you'll do just fine by cutting down on the 'normal' sugar.
My limited experience with substitutes is that they don't quite taste right compared to sugar. Though I'll say that Stevia is probably the closest in my opinion.

Hmm…

Would be more tempted if Absolute was a better vodka.
Stolichnaya is usually my economy vodka of choice.
Clever retort to that particular bunch of nutters though, so they clearly deserve kudos for that.

I have lived in counties that didn't have any traffic lights.

Yup, I even lived in a county with only one paved road.

I love how they have to have a big capital "The" in front of everything in Ohio.

It's almost like they're overcompensating for something...

Wouldn't be fair to you, since the air ticket here would be astronomical. Also my BF is keen on tackling the house first, before looking at weddings.

I told him NOT to have the house renovations clash with the wedding, very bad idea, it gave my friend quite a bit of stress.

American Dad had an episode about how 9 out of 10 marriages never survive a kitchen remodel.

Issue with me is I will probably not care how the house looks like for renovations. Because I know my BF has better design sense then I do, I'd pretty much leave it to him. Just make sure the kitchen has a stove, oven, I'll provide the washing machine...the rest, eh heck.

You'll do great.

Just what you said about your friend reminded me of that episode. :-)

Congrats, Mort!!!

We're expecting lows in the mid twenties tomorrow morning.

*wakes up and rumbles around making a pot of tea*

That wouldn't last that long, would it?

*takes ibuprofen for a mild headache that hovers in the frontal lobe, before it turns into something stronger*

Weather change it? Will it go warmer, colder, or rainy?

*Wakes up from the nuzzling, yawns, return nuzzles Mort and gives her a scratch behind her ears*

Should be sleeping…
Think I'll give it another go.
Nighty night everyone.

Good night, Kjel.

I saw an asian woman today. I've been up here a while now, and it occurred to me she was the first minority I had seen outside of an ethnic restaurant.

I was saddened by this. Not that I'd seen her, but that I can't recall meeting any black, latin, asian or other non-caucasian people in all this time. Florida is surprisingly diverse, at least compared to up here. I didn't really encounter racism until I moved from South Florida to Tallahassee (which it and Jacksonville are culturally more south Georgja). My two best friends growing up were latin and jewish and my ex wife is black, so it just feels really weird to not be culturally diverse.

I haven't seen any racism here; don't read that much into it. It's just...weird to see such a homogeneous group of people.

Your in a strange place VE.

They fixed the like button issues so that's nice.

Baking a cake now. Let's see if I can squeeze in a run before it's cooked. I guess we'll just have to run a little faster.

I envy your life Mort Exercise AND cake. mmmmmmmmmm

Nah I cheated and trained back. It's cutting a bit close for a 1.8 mile run in 29 min and I'm feeling off form today.

Congratulations Vidmaster7! Looks like the little cherubs have been busy =)

Its been a long time coming really, Kudos to her for putting up with me this long.

So how are the plans of living together coming along?

The Exchange

We already live together. We have for awhile.

Also nice cake now add frosting!

The Exchange

Lucky gal...she gets you to cook for her ;)

You guys planning your wedding yet?

Frosting is sugar and sugar is EBUL!

I'll say I wouldn't even know what kind of frosting to use, I'd guess vanilla?

Ah guessed wrong. People use lemon/orange.

My cooking is literally the main reason I think she is marring me. She always gets real sad when I tell her its her turn.

We do not have anything wedding like at all planned.

Chocolate btw is always the answer... Your right though and to much frosting is way to sugary. I like just a little.

And they say the way to a man's heart is by his stomach. I guess it applies to ladies as well.

The Exchange

Chocolate frosting on a Sultana cake feels wrong. A Sultana cake should have white frosting, not brown. And chocolate may overpower the Sultana taste.

She is a bit of a tomboy so hard to say. XD

I'll take your word on it.

Once I get to States since we'll be traveling quite some, I suspect wireless access will be limited so my activity here will be on and off.

One thing I like about Japan is you can carry your portable wifi around. I don't think US has that equivalent.
