But...
I'd drive the 8 hours for a date with her.
And awww that is so sweet.

Lol. Whatever that floats your boat, TOZ.
Looking at the Labyrinth, I'm a rubbish cat that doesn't rock scramble well. I think its cause I dumped Dex, so I can't Acro past narrow ledges. Though for squeeze I might get a circumstance bonus for it since I'm small sized ^^
Again I don't really have good flexibility so.. I dunno.
I can function at heights as long as I don't look down. But the last time I was at a rock climbing wall, I got nowhere. I think I'm too heavy for my forepaws and climbing takes a surprising amount of flexibility that I don't have.

I took today off to run errands for Aiymi and just generally be around for whatever she needs today. Went to the grocery store and a guy stocking the shelves decides to strike up a conversation with me. He was about done with his shift, but he didn't want to go home because he would have to mow the yard, and it's just too hot out for that. He caps it off with "I just moved here from Arizona. I can sit in 130 degree heat all day long, but what I have encountered here is just stupid. I just don't know how you people have learned to breathe water."
Compared to the desert for most of the year, yes. Your humidity is obviously higher than Midwest US, but visitors tend to be surprised at just how hot and humid it gets here. You'd be fine. Until winter.

I hate winter because I have to wear all that cold weather gear and it makes me resemble a round fur ball. How hot does it get in F down there and how humid, exactly?

Also we should be coming to the end of Strange Aeons. Last few fights that can be counted on one hand. I think afterwards I'll just dangle around for a while and see if I get bored. If I get bored I'll probably start running another AP. I'd have the choice of forking out dosh and getting Ironfang Invasion, or running Reign of Winter again.
I could possibly try to run Strange Aeons again but I don't care for the GM - AP incompatibility. It's fallen into the lists of APs I don't wish to run, like Way of the Wicked, and Skulls and Shackles.

So, the kids finished Detroit: Being Human today.
On the one hand, it was an awesome story. Very deep, with an amazing insight into the nature of humanity. On the other hand, the game "play" was virtually nonexistent; you were just choosing from a set of available responses, and very occasionally playing a few button-mashing games. So I'd call it more of an "interactive book" than a "game".
And I'm afraid $60 for an "interactive book", even one that takes 20-30 hours to finish, is a bit steep.
You could think of it like a movie. People will pay $15 for a 2-hour movie on DVD. You got 10 times that for 4 times the price.
Anyway, I’ve actually been curious about this game, and your review rather confirmed my feelings about how it would be. Still not sure if I will end up going for it.

95 F may be too much for me.
What do you guys think about running an AP twice? Agreed, it's prep saving hack. I know someone who says she won't run the same scenario/mod twice because it spoils the feeling.
For Carrion Hill mod I know I got more flexible in running since I was more familiar with the module.

I don't hate winter, I just wish it wouldn't last for 6-7 months.
In 2010, Pittsburgh got 21 inches of snow during the Snowpocalypse. It took me three hours to walk home from work. I was struggling to walk on the sidewalk, until I realized that walking in the deserted streets was better.
Edit: corrected spelling. Thanks, Freehold. :)

So, being who I am, Markus' story resonated the most personally with me, and Talky ran him magnificently.
But gods, Kara's story was the one that had me on the edge of my seat, heart beating with anxiety the most.
Markus became the hero I want to be. Kara became the woman I want to save.
EDIT: LOL. Impus Minor, who played out Connor's story, was rather irritated that I didn't write ANYTHING about Connor. So while he plays an extremely critical role, he's the most "video game"-like character, so he resonated with me the least. Sorry, Impus Minor!

LOL. You know, when the review starts off with, "I think the guy who made this game is the most unqualified hack in the industry today," you pretty much know you're going to be listening to a Freehold-level tirade about a Joss Whedon movie.

I wish I had a camera back then. Parked cars were buried under nearly two feet of snow. Buses weren't running. It took a long time to clear even the major roads. We learned our lesson when the Blizzard of 2011 came. We used all the earthmoving equipment we could get our hands on. The snow was piled at the corners of intersections. Many of those snowpiles were still around into late Spring.

Wise decision, Van. Or both of you might end up on the floor.
Hey, stop looking at me like that. If Freehold ended up on the floor when he wisely decided to take 3 of the hotels specials on an empty stomach, and you let him set the pace for drinking...likely you'll end up on the floor as well ^^

Our record was the fun trip where we got 7 feet (84") in 36 hours. We went down to the parking lot and the cars were simply gone, as if they had never existed. Then the radio call. "The snow blower won't come through to free up your cars until you mark 'em all with ski poles."
So a morning spent probing for cars underneath the snow, figuring out where they were, and marking them for the blower to come through.
Quite memorable, and we even got out on schedule, which was the REAL surprise for us.

Ugh. The computers at work are borked, so I've spent the last 2 1/2 hours trying to "fix them" with the assistant manager texting me "help". It has not gone well. Finally she said "Try calling tech support. We didn't do that in the 4 hours that I was there working on them." *facepalm* Fine. I call tech support. They say "Your dedicated internet line for central is down. The one for guest use is fine. Call your ISP." I text that to the AM. She says "Our ISP? I think it's AT&T. I'll see if I can google a phone number." She eventually gets one to me, I call it, and it's one of those computers you talk to. It wants our account number. I tell it I don't have it. It is condescending for a bit, then asks for the phone number associated with the account. I give it the hotel's number. It says "Nope. That's not right." (I paraphrased a bit there). Text the AM, she basically says "F$%@ it, I'm tired. I'll deal with it in the morning."
Pain in my ass.
