Congrats on putting up with Whingey Wizard and finishing curse of crimson throne before LM moved!
*Does nekkid dance in front of NH to congratulate him*
Edit:Finishing an AP with someone which there are gaming style incompatibility is quite a feat and deserves a nekkid performance. God knows I didn't manage that one...

How hard is it for people to understand that I work the f*%!ing night shift and my sleep schedule is screwed up, so text me instead of calling me because if you call me you might wake me up? And to add insult to injury, the dogs will wake me up at any time for various reasons (mailman, kid knocking on the door, a leaf blowing around three blocks away, ect, ect, ect), plus my Mom can't drive right now, so I have to drive her everywhere, making it that much harder for me to get some sleep. Plus it is bright, it is noisy, and people are awake and busy.

In the Mighty Ducks (the movie from 1992), two NHL teams play a game. Neither of those teams, the Hartford Whalers and the Minnesota North Stars, exist any more. The fictional team, the Ducks, that watches them is now a real NHL team.
The 3rd mighty ducks always bugged me. The kids are Olympic class hockey players that won 1st place. I don't care how good you think your college team is you give respect!

My brother is in Arizona now and he sent us pics of people fishing. Weird thing is the fish are edible but they don't eat them. Why?
My brother speculates they dunno how to gut fish, because fish in the supermarket is all in fillets><
I'm almost tempted to get a fishing permit and take up fishing so I can catch and eat those really delicious looking Trout...
Yes, I know how to clean a fish.

Catch and release fishing is a popular past time. It's not about actually having the fish, but about spending time, alone or with friends, out on/by the water, and relaxing. Plenty of the people out there "fishing" would be fine if they never got a single bite. They're just out there to get away from real life.

I don't know. I have never understood fishing and then throwing them back. If I'm catching fish I intend to eat them. as a result I can't go fishing locally however. Apparently our local rivers are to polluted they tell you not to eat more then like 6 fish from our rivers a year so I'm like hmm I'll just not have any then thank you very much.

Western culture needs to more fully embrace meditation. I mean people that just sit on boats never catching fish are like only a step away from that already.
Its cheaper then buying all that fishing stuff!

Finally made it to Oregon.
I left my house at 11:30 this morning. To pick up Hermione from her godmother's, then drive up to my mom's house, should have taken 7 hours at the most on a Sunday. Instead, between the slow traffic due to wildfires, and the slow traffic due to construction, and the slow traffic due to bad freeway accidents, it took 9 and a half hours.
But it's so good to see Teensy Valeros after a whole week apart.

In our whatsaps chat:
After some park photos.
Dad: I see a variety of ducks. Should I learn to cook Peking duck or braised duck before I visit the States?
Bro: All protected, sorry. Can't even feed. Geese also.
See? I come by my eat anything feat honestly!
And it's not just me!

Did teensy Valeros have fun at your mom's house?

My issue with catch and release is you're being cruel to the fish. Imagine if I stuck a hook in your mouth. Then let you go so I could do it again. How would you feel about it?
At least my fishing has a purpose. I'm hungry!

Not everybody likes fish. Again, it's recreation, not sustenance.

I do like duck. I have to go to places that specifically serve duck its not common. It pretty well just Thai places around me that serve duck.
Hmm I could probably find some at the whole foods market...
Actually duck isn't an easy meat to cook. It's got a rather strong taste without proper seasoning. You can't just stir fry it with light soya sauce and expect it to turn out fine like pork.

So you would suggest finding a good recipe before trying to make it myself then?

Recreation for you, not the fish. Will you not think about the fishes?

I would recommend skipping the sour plums and tamarind skins, since I'm very sensitive to sour stuff.

There are other reasons they might be throwing the fish back, too. You are generally only allowed to keep fish that are above a certain length, say 6". If you catch one that is smaller, you are required to throw it back. Or you may be trying to catch catfish, because you want to eat them, but you accidentally hook a bass. So you throw it back. Or maybe you catch something that is of legal size, but just barely. Since there is almost certainly a limit on the number of fish you can keep, you might throw it back in hopes of catching a larger one later on. Or maybe you pull in a "trash fish", that is a fish which is technically edible but tastes bad. So you throw it back. Also, sometimes you aren't allowed to keep certain species. So if you aren't allowed to keep bass, because it's their spawning season or something, and you catch one, you gotta throw it back.
Basically, there are lots of reasons why you might not keep a fish you caught besides catch-and-release.

Hmm. You don’t do easy, do you, Vidmaster7?
Because soups are really hard to screw up. The other way duck is cooked is the braised duck, which is somewhat of a culinary secret that I’ve not been privy to (due to no inclination – it takes too long and is too much trouble).
It’s quite a finicky recipe as any issues with temperatures/ingredients can ruin the dish.
The basic principles are you first blanch the duck with boiling water to get rid of the blood (in Chinese we call the step Fei Shui), then drain it dry.
Then you caramalize the sugar then add one knob (sliced) of blue ginger and a cinnamon stick, 1-2 points of a star anise, a cardamom pod, 2 cloves of garlic, then add dark soya sauce. I’m not even sure if water was added since our family version tends to be of the dry kind. And cover the pot and let it cook for like 1 hour or so.

I don't wipe snappers, and I'm not really that young.

If the law dictates I need to throw a fish back (due to species or size), I will, because I am lawful. And if the fish doesn't taste good...well yeah I'd throw that back too.
I'm pretty sure if I was trying to catch a catfish, but hooked a bass(of reasonable size), instead, it'd still end up in my cooking pot. Steamed bass with light soya sauce, spring onion, ginger and chilli is a thing.
Else I have the dark soya sauce, light soya sauce, sugar, ginger and chilli version as well.

Nope not when it comes to food.

Yes we think of them. How many recipes have you come up with, Sharoth?
Off my head I can think of toasted with italian herbs and butter, stir fried with light soya sauce, ginger and spring onion, stir fried with tomatoes and salted bean paste, toasted with sambal balachan, steamed with light soya sauce, ginger, spring onion and chilli, stir fried with ginger, chopped onion and dark soya sauce, stir fried (in slices), with ginger, spring onion, and oyster sauce.
Then there's also just deep fried fish, filleted (though I've never filleted a fish before), and deep fried in batter and squeezed with lemon.
We think of the fish! Extensively!
