So I've been feverishly translating my thoughts on D&D classes into, well, D&Dish classes.
The fighter is super-simple, for use as goons and players who just wanna chuck d20s and damage dice.
The berserker and the champion are pretty simple too, just a touch of daily resource management to liven things up.
...And then there is my fever-dream, the martial artist. (Pic picked bc the class lends itself to Dex-primary characters. And also TOZ. ;) ) No, not the asian kind in particular -- I just couldn't find a better word for warrior-who-makes-tactical-art-out-of-combat. The martial artist has both stances -- improvements on standard attack options that would be feats like Combat Expertise in D&D -- and an opening-move closing-move dynamic to break up the monotony of martial attack spam, and give martial players some really fun stuff to do.
I don't know if this class is madness or genius, but I'm really hoping I'll get to see what players do with it someday. :)

HOLY CARP.
(I mean, it still really sucks. A lot. But it's totally worth noting.)

I watched the first episode it didn't seem at all related. That and it felt like early 90's trying to rip off power rangers or rather super human samurai cyber squad.
How much do I have to watch for it to be related to the old reboot?

I'm afraid of bridges because they're high up and I've seen the footage of the Tacoma Narrows bridge and too many Superman movies for my own good.
Boats, I dunno why, but they give me panic attacks.
That said, I'm not averse to facing down my fears, as evidenced by our spending part of our honeymoon on the Olympic peninsula, where you can either drive over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, take a ferry or just skip going to Seattle.
And yes, we went to Seattle almost every day that week.

Mines just spiders and I do self-therapy every time I see one to where now I can get close to a small one without freaking out. can't have a reasonably large one touch me however I will fight or flight all over the place. That is about it well probably public speaking too but I'm getting better at that.

Two or three. You will absolutely know it when you see it.
That said, it really won’t “prove” itself for really reals (and won’t feel all that connected - the one moment when you realize is the most history-linking moment for most of the show) until episode 10.
It’s still terrible - like a slightly-better Power Rangers, really - but it was such a shock (and had all of three clever acknowledgments/jokes throughout the show run of S1), that it stood out as worth mentioning.

Let me be clear: it’s not a good show.
It is better than Power Rangers by the slimmest or margins (innthat they actually acknowledge canon events and has internal consistency, regularly, and status-quo is only sometimes a thing that matters; it unfortunately lacks the increeible opening theme and giant robots), but it is still absolutely bad (how, exactly, can you bleed when you’re in “digital space” and how can anyone else TRANSLATE WHAT THAT MEANS; what’s more, why do Joie of the Rangers Guardians wrestle with the moral and ethical implications of having an actually functional super-AI, not just in their team, but in EVERY DEVICE THAT EXISTS; and what the heck is up with that guy in episode 10 - it’s absolute nonsense from the ground up), but there are worthwhile elements among the bad.
... and I have to admit, I squeed a bit like a fan boy at episode 10. It wasn’t good, but it was a very sincere and kind acknowledgement of the past in a kind of almost mostly-excellent (if slightly nonsequitor) way, and they obviously pulled a lot of strings to do what they did there. And, yeah, don’t read Wikipedia until you see the episode, then feel free and be kind of amazed (I was).
Bad show. Better than a childhood favorite of mine.
Also, and unrelated: Final Space is... surprisingly good. I can only find the first two episodes online, but I’ve been impressed with both. Mooncake is easily my wife’s Favorite part of the show, and I can’t entirely disagree. It is gory, and the show has several very disturbing elements to it, and the “lead” is... hm... not-quite-delusional is a good way of putting it (though he is borderline there, he seems more aware of actual reality than I initially thought). But seeing the first episode invested me enough to try to track down the others (though I’ve only found the second). So that’s worth mentioning. Phone typing is haaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrd when you’ve got a badly cracked screen. LATER!

So I'm getting mixed messages is it worth sitting through?
Since you’re asking, I’d say try to watch episodes 2 and 3, then determine if you can do that seven more times or skip straight to 10.
This is not a recommendation. I can’t recommend this show. I was caught by surprise - in a good way - just when I thought I knew everything from episode 1.

Nope. Because Power Rangers was actually fun for me.
If you're good at MST3K-it up, feel free. I did other things while it was on, but it was enjoyable because I was enjoying other things.
It's a mess. It's not good. It may or may not be enjoyable.
I can recommend it if you can accept Power Rangers without the song or robots as enjoyable, or if you're willing to do two things at once.

Also: what... is the deal... with Lemony Snicket's... thing.
A Series of Unfortunate Events is... weird.
Like... it's almost funny. Sometimes.
But... what.
Anyway.
I liked the movie. The show sounds very predictable from overhearing the Homunculi watch it -- and they do binge watch it. Gotta get them outdoors more...
I believe Lemony Snickets was a book series first, but I have no knowledge of it.

Me too! Granted I can function at heights I just need to grip the railing and keep looking forward, don't look down.

I try and do the same, when I am up high.

Looks interesting though.Not sure I understand everything here...I might have to see some sample characters to able to add everything together.
Thought I can kind of see where you're coming from with unified BaB, Saves, Ac and Skills. The calculations and idea remind me tangentially of StarWars Saga ed.
I really like the look of the "martial artist"!
The others seem a little bland. I was never really that much a fan of making "fighter" specializations super focused (which is why I love the idea of weapon groups, the execution of the idea can be hit or miss though).
Berserker. Hmmm...
Don't really think that the 1/day thing is something I can get behind. Its too inflexible, very circumstantial and encourages very conservative "resource manegement (I don't really think that suits a very aggressive class).
Champion. Eh...Its a still kind of a "Paladin" and its still kind of Alignment focused.
I would prefer something more akin to knightly orders dedicated to churches (not necessarily the Gods behind them :p), I do like you separated them from their usual spellcasting and mystic abilities.
Good Ref saves though? Interesting...

As someone who work with em daily...
I get where you're coming from. An animal that weighs around somewhere between 800 to 1200 pounds, that can easily crush bones with surprisingly swift kicks should be handled carefully.Still love em though!
They are kind of (very tangentially) like us. Most are timid and nervous beasts, but are creatures of habit and structure. Some are curious and nosy, constantly pressing boundaries and getting into trouble. Lastly, a few are born mean with only the "fight" part of the "fight-or-flight" reflex functioning, they are, for the lack of a better term, the psychopaths of the horse-world.

I have nothing against them personally, I just wish they'd stop trying to kick me in the head every chance they get is all.

or picking my pockets (despite not having opposable thumbs)...
