Finally.
Meh.
Not surprised, not really excited nor disappointed either.
Gotta be honest, Paizo has kind of become my "TSR" of yester year, Not really that interested nor impressed by most of the material they churn out.
I mean its by no way bad, but its just slightly above average. A solid 3-3.5 on a 5 point scale.
No, I've gone and looked elsewhere for my fantasy-fix. Currently familiarizing myself with the rules to Symbaroum and Conan - adventures in an age undreamed of. Besides that I've been playing/GMing Shadow of the Demonlord, which I find is a nice, simple little system too.
And coming up further down the line is the new version of WFRPG...
So I guess what I'm saying is that PF 2.0 might have to take a back seat for quite a while before it get its chance.
Though I'm sure we'll get the old PF 1.0 a shake now and then. It'll still probably be the go to "DnD experience" for the groups I'm in.
Edit: You know what... Kjeldorn 2.0 doesn't care he's in his birthday suit!

Gods, kids are the same, be they 6 or 16.
They found out that Sabaton ate at (and thoroughly enjoyed) their favorite restaurant (Skates on the Bay, which has improved massively in the last few years), so now it's, "OK, kids! Where do you want to eat with grandma?"
"SKATES! SKATES! SKATES! SKATES!!!!!"
Well, that blows my Rivoli budget for the month, but it'll make the kids happy. And I can always make puppy-dog eyes at Shiro. The man can't resist Rivoli if we suggest it...

Yes. Not everything about that is bad, but it's definitely not the direction I want the game to go.
There are, in fact, some great concepts about their proposed changes (as 5E isn't a bad system), but they are just embracing the trend they've been following the whole time of "gamifying" the system. Pathfinder is already leaning ever-more-heavily in the "gamist" direction as time goes on, and Starfinder actively abandoned any real parallel between PCs and NPCs and divided players from he rest of the world.
Considering this was my greatest complaint about 4E, I'm unhappy about it (it's not as rough as 4E's trend to extremely divorced-from-the-world mechanics, for example), but it's not inherently a deal-breaker, as they represent pretty much the last bastion of gaming that comes close to the game I like.
I'm mostly disappointed that they never bothered to do a reorganization and cleanup - they just skipped right to a new edition with entirely new mechanics.
Anyway. I'll give them a shot, too. It's just... the style is less interesting to me.

Count me in as someone disappointed in this. I specifically moved into Pathfinder to have a new system that allowed me to keep using my old 3.5 stuff with minimal adjustment.
And hearing that it's going the way of 5e's design is even more of a turnoff. I understand 100% why the people who like 5e like it, don't get me wrong, and I approve of it having a place in the market. But that place is not for me and 5e is a system I have no interest in learning. Hearing that PF2 is going to follow in its footsteps designwise is immensely disheartening.
Ah well. I already do so much homebrewing and conversion for the APs I run anyway, this really won't be any different. I'll just be buying them for the storytelling and the art like I already do.

Yeah. My dislike of some of Starfinder's mechanics changes is one of the big reasons my enthusiasm for this announcement is so low.
All I wanted for Starfinder was "Pathfinder In Space". No change of mechanics, no new chassis, none of that. I'm definitely not looking forward to what an actual full edition change will provide.
.... also, probably should have seen something like this coming, with the site redesign and all.

My gripe with 5e:
I looked and the 5e spellbooks and threw my paws up in despair. I have been playing martial type characters ever since. The only spells I cast are buffs or heals or flat damage. (Bless, healing word, sacred flame)
5e is supposed to be more "let your imagination loose", but I still do not understand how can enemies fail to walk out of a fog cloud when they're in one. Or that you can shoot enemies in a fog cloud due to their vague outlines but they can't shoot you back nor would they move out of the fog cloud to shoot you.
If something so nebulous passes for crowd control in 5e, I'd rather not touch magic at all. To me the rules must be listed out and distinct. Uncertainty and GM fiat is what I fear most.
If things are fuzzy, I rather not touch them at all. As a result, I probably have my imagination shackled as compared to most.
I don't really know how much imagination I really have at the end of the day.
And when you get a SPELLCASTING CAT eschewing magic...well.

Because I miss eating patties, but (a) they're a colossal pain in the arse to make, and (b) my children think that everything that isn't breakfast is too spicy, so... I compromise.

The food was awesome.
Freehold loves portillos.
Portillos can kiss my ass. I mentioned this at the time it happened, but last year they opened a branch here and the crew they sent to set up and train the staff stayed at my hotel. They were A!*+@@%S!!!!! They caused so much trouble and did nothing but b@$!+ about how much this town sucked compared to almighty Chicago. They pissed me off so badly that several times I considered sending an email to Portillos telling them about what they were doing (most of the time still in uniform with the Portillos name all over them), but didn't. I did, however, inform all my friends and family about their nonsense and have steadfastly refused to eat there.
So, no, still nothing good from Chicago.

I think THIS is what I am looking for. I do know that I need a SATA 6 GB cable for my new SSD drive. Right now I have a 3 GB SATA cable for it.

I know that there are a great many variables and imponderables when it comes to things falling out of the sky, but I was perusing this article about a Chinese space station that is due to fall to Earth soon, and I love this line:
"Although experts have not yet determined exactly where the out-of-control module will land, an Aerospace report detailed that it will likely re-enter somewhere in the northern U.S. states, parts of South America, northern China, the Middle east, central Italy, northern Spain, New Zealand, the south of Africa or Tasmania in Australia."
That's a lot of area. Probably should have just said "We don't know yet" and left it at that.

I don't touch myself. Heck, gran joking about me playing with myself got a lot of laughs. Because I'm waaay too prude to do so.
If it helps you can occasionally catch me wearing sleeveless.
I don't do spaghetti straps though.

If we are going to protest this, I have a plan.
First, we need to march some elephants over a mountain range...
I don't remember seeing elephants in the A Team. If they were there, though, they probably had anti-aircraft guns mounted on them.
The question with Pathfinder mk 2 is, what are they going to do with the Rogue?
And good luck, Vid!

Well now I'm super curious too. I can already imagine what they will do with the fighter but rogue? probably be a bit like the infiltrator I bet.

I have a question for all you techies out there. The power cord for my internal hard drive is a few inches too short. Does anyone know of an internal hard drive power cord extension cord that I can get? It is a newer power supply / hard drive.
The WalMart website lists a 15-pin, 8 inch extension for $2.25

Anyway...currently studying humor now. I do have a warped sense of humor, but if I'm stressed it just vanishes.
Let's try some EMT jokes...
1)After responding to a call in which a man had committed suicide by jumping in front of a train, a member of the response team said to his buddy, "Hey, give me a hand, will ya?" (The body was dismembered.)
2)After a plane crash, in which the emergency response team spent the morning putting bodies in bags, someone said "The bag lunches are here."
3)Delta Airlines suffered three crashes within a 2-3 year period in the 1980's. Firemen and police could be heard following the last crash sharing some of the following jokes:
At Delta, we now offer three classes of service: smoking, non-smoking and burned beyond recognition.
4)Delta now offers you free drinks if you present your dental records when purchasing your ticket.
I did find jokes 1 and 3 funny, but not jokes 2 and 4...
