Wahoo! I'm a captain.

Well, actually I'm not, but my character (Otto Otto von Kielson) was named captain last night in Skull and Shackles, and that is definitely as good as staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

How is everyone out there?

Cool!

Howdy Thing!

Here are pictures, some of which (Caulks Hill Road) are only about two miles from us. The rest are about 15 minutes.

We kind of got lost in the Oklahoma reporting, which is understandable. Those folks have had a hellish couple of weeks.

Oh I saw those too, but they have been overshadowed by the OK storm-spawn.

:/

Close, but not TOO close! I'm glad your all ok. :)

And in Oklahoma we/they're used to it.
We DO call Tulsa 'Tornado Alley' after all. ;)

HEB had a donation option that I was glad to see for OK and northern Texas.

Congratulations to Remicus (Wolfthulhu), Gaithan (Lebreton), Manius (Selgard), Jacob, Marcus, Hagith and Sidartha from saving Golarion from Karzoug, Runelord of Greed Saturday night!

Our 3 year Rise of the Runelords campaign has come to a close after 38 sessions.

Next month, the adventure continues with Shattered Star.

:D

After this job I hope I do as well as you.

Are you drinking too? ;)

I went to the Alamo today to pay my respects, and I got caught in a wicked thunderstorm on the way there and blew a tire on the way back. In any case it was a deeply moving experience that took me by surprise in it's emotional intensity. I got a few odd looks saluting the monument.

The arcades across the street and tourist stuff made me slightly uncomfortable because (for me) this is like paying my respects at a veterans cemetery. Maybe I'm just too grim.

Eh, I think it's too late to point you to the kickstarter for Call Of Cthulhu 7th edition?

facepalm

Of course there's a Kickstarter for a new edition....

Oh well, at least I was able to support a LGS. Well, not so local, but the store needed some love.

5th or 6th edition is solid and good. 7th edition promises (according to people in thread where I learned about kickstarter) lots of changes, at least comparing to changes between earlier editions.

Tonight is the night. I'm prepping for the grand finale of our 3 year Rise of the Runelord's campaign.

Muwahahahahahah!

After this campaign, another player is taking over GM duties and we will continue with Shattered Star. And he will be incorporating some of the elements from the runelord's campaign into the new one. Cool.

Also, AZ will be joining the game! Huzzah!

AZ is moving to Houston?

Awesome!!!

Yup. Theoretically, I'll be there by the beginning of July.

What? You mean friends who wish snow and all kinds of nasty winter weather on me?

Scarab Sages

Also, good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Monday! At least as happy as a gloomy, rainy day that happens to be Monday can be.

Scarab Sages

Wife wasn't feeling well again, so she stayed home today.

Which means I got to come in early. Huzzah!

Which means I get to leave early. Double Huzzah!!

Which means, hopefully, I can maybe make another trip to the dump today! (Potential) Triple Huzzha!!!

Scarab Sages

However, boo that my wife is not feeling well.

Scarab Sages

Did I mention that she threw up in Target yesterday?

Scarab Sages

But don't worry. She caught it in her hand.

That would be a lot of shipping.

In other news, I have figured out what to do with a bunch of the old text books I have stored up.

Since my group will be moving back to our newly renovated area in a few weeks, they are giving us dump carts to purge old files.

Methinks some of the books in my house shall follow the ones that were in my cubicle......

It's been a number of years, and its a war with a neighbor that had a lot of weird and occasionally offensive history behind it. I would imagine you would get similar looks if you were a canadian saluting a memorial to the war of 1812.

yeesh. Sorry to hear. My wife's best friend recounted the tale of when she was pregnancy ill and hurling outside of ihop, with her husband desperately trying to convince others she was pregnant ill, not that the good was bad.

Oh, I understand old Frey dude needed to avenge his family's honor. My problem was always the way they did it. Very cowardly and dishonorable. For that, I keep hoping Martin will kill off the entire family in the books.

You do realize that

Spoiler:
his family was to be used as cannon fodder in the big battle that lead to Robert being king, yes? And that added to the fact that he was told he would NEVER marry into the Tully family lead to bad blood. The elder Tully was NOT the nice guy his daughter remembers and Robert and Eddard remember, he was just as adept at the game of thrones as any. Iirc the Tully son and uncle are the way they are because of his machinations

From what I understand, in Canadian history writing that's their sort of war of independence, actually.

Great catch! Plus One for being hand-to-mouth in reverse.

Now I had Fatburger this morning and that was hand-to-mouth deliciousness.

Another rainy day.

In fact I am glad that today Derp Heresy game was canceled... Bus ticket fare would kill me and walking in this shower would be certainly a no-no.

Well if it makes you feel any better:

Spoiler:
The Freys are forever dishonored for the Red Wedding. Everyone hates them, even their allies. They get killed by pretty much anyone if caught alone. Also, it is not proven outright in the books yet, but one of Stark's allies pretends to go over to the Frey side and then cooks two of the worst Freys in a big pie which he serves at Ramsay Bolton's wedding
