Or maybe not, can't say I've heard about any Texas moose. But you never know.
Texas mooses are cunning and sneaky beasts.
I don't think they actually have moose down in Texas. Not that it matters. Since everything is bigger in Texas, the deer are probably the same size as the moose.

we had a moose in Hessia, his name was Knutschi he imigrated from Poland in 2009 - that are 500km just to the polish border!

He died in an accident in the same year :-(

but in Brandenburg, Saxony and Bavaria there are small populations of imigrant Moose who are reproducing,

so the moose is no longer extinct in Germany - the scandinavian tourism industry may tremble in fear, because Germans love Moose even more than they love David Hasslehoff
who was in Berlin 2 weeks ago, by the way

Yeah.....sorry. Still a disturbing mental image. But I guess it's all in how you interpret the word "love".

Scarab Sages

Of course, it's equally disturbing how my mind does the interpretation......

Meh, I had a nice day but now the rollercoaster is going downhill again.

Holy moly... the Germans (and Polish) are coming!

We do?

Some fine ideas here, on cracked.com.

I am liking this job. Today I went to the headquarters of a major fashion magazine. It is fun to see what a place like that is like on the inside.

Picky child is making me crazy. At this point I think the only food he likes is hot sauce. *sigh*

That sounds awesome. :)

On the s$&& side: I got back to my car where it was parked at the commuter train station and it had a ticket on it for an expired registration. Apparently it expired 4/13/13. WTF? I never knew a motor vehicle registration could expire mid-month. The date is in tiny print, as opposed to the big 4/2013 across the sticker which led me to believe I had until the end of the month.

F#$~ers. Must have been a low-crime day to go from car to car checking inspections and registrations to find one that was 11 days overdue. (I assume they were checking both; my inspection is current.)

I suspect I can get the fine waived if I show up in court with evidence that I renewed my registration (which I did promptly this evening online), but what a waste of a day to have to go to court for that s+!$. Court date is June 5. Grrrrr.

Not to sound callous, but put some vinegar in the hot sause. That'll break the habit.

uh.....hot sauce is already vinegar based....

Damn. I'm sorry ch. I've been there before though, they nicked us at the start of the month two years ago. EVERYONE on the block had a ticket people were pissed.

Happened to me last summer. Registration was one day overdue, and it was the middle of August.

You and me both, neighbour.

The girl at work thanked me for the chocolate bar, then asked if I had given anyone else one.

I have the feeling she either missed the point of my gesture, or she's implying that she's not interested.

So, aside from my usual luck bringing me closer to a depressive episode, what's been going on with you guys?

Well it's a day of the week that ends in "day", hence I may be too. Anyway, Icyshadow, it could be that she's wondering if she's special. Although it probably doesn't go well to analyse the thoughts of women*, for that way lies madness.

*:
Or men either.

Sorry to hear about that CH, they are probably behind on their quota. I'm sure you'll you get it sorted, with the minimum of fuss.

Hope the day starts out well and gets better from there.

I already asked her out once. She declined saying she already planned to hang out with friends.

And we've chatted like normal after that for the most part. I haven't had the guts to ask her phone number yet, but now I feel like I'm just being messed with. Either she can't take a damned hint (unlikely) or she's just not wanting to say no to my face. Of course, the third option is what you are saying and that her thoughts are an unfathomable system not too far from a Lovecraftian horror.

Whatever, I'm kind of frustrated but that's fixed by me going more cynical so I won't be as disappointed next time this kind of crap happens.
Because really, the less you expect from other people, the less likely it is that they will disappoint you. I'll probably die alone, but I sure as hell plan to die happy!

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Thursday is here! That means gaming tonight!

Scarab Sages

Sadly, there's also a 1300 Phillies game. Which sucks ass, snce it has the potential to create horrendous traffic for our ride home.

Scarab Sages

Also, it's Bring Your Child to Work day here, but did I bring Charlie? NOooooooo...because these f&$~ers limit it to kids 8 years and older.

Scarab Sages

F**%ers.

Envy. Ever since we had to shuffle our gaming nights to accommodate one player's new school schedule, it's been a wonky sometimes-Friday/sometimes-Saturday schedule. This week it's a Saturday, and we're all impatient for it to get here.

It really is an interesting system. Good for so much more than getting your info to potential employers. From an engineering standpoint, there are a lot of companies out there that specialize in certain things, and it's always good to have a resource that might let you find someone or some company like that. A buddy here at work has apparently had an account for years.

Mild headache... Meh.

I thought about going to club tonight to look on other people making and eating sushi but unless headache passes soon I won't be in mood.

Ours was a Wednesday game, but we moved it to accomodate someone's new work schedule.

I don't think I should even bother asking her number.

F***, at this rate I won't even wanna run Kingmaker at saturday.

Sound like you fell victim to one of those petty, end-of-the-month quota making tickets. Sucks.

I would offer advice, but I'm married. Which means I know less than nothing about women.

Scarab Sages

Besides which, most of my advice involves beer.

Scarab Sages

And thunderous applause.

Scarab Sages

All right folks. I'm gonna go do some stuff. Maybe harass some co-workers.

Moved off data entry and to mailout labels for a few days due to slowness. Nothing particularly worth complaining about it, just kind of a meh situation.

Beats getting laid off or sent home though.

The girl wants to just say as friends.

*Shrugs* Fine by me. I'll just tell my dad to f*** off the next time he starts whining about how I fail at life because I don't have a girlfriend.
Because really, do I need one? Will I die without one?

So far I have seen that I can live without one.

Sorry. I should have said tweak the flavor or add more of something the child will not like into the mix. My sister did something like that to her daughter when she was going through her "favorite flavor" phase.

I have training class all day today and I will be learning safety and "rules-of-the-road" Slaad style.

I'll be Off-line amidst "eggings" and re-education TA-style.

Carry-on, carry forward, but carry-on in chaos.
