we had a moose in Hessia, his name was Knutschi he imigrated from Poland in 2009 - that are 500km just to the polish border!
He died in an accident in the same year :-(but in Brandenburg, Saxony and Bavaria there are small populations of imigrant Moose who are reproducing,
so the moose is no longer extinct in Germany - the scandinavian tourism industry may tremble in fear, because Germans love Moose even more than they love David Hasslehoff
who was in Berlin 2 weeks ago, by the way

On the s$&& side: I got back to my car where it was parked at the commuter train station and it had a ticket on it for an expired registration. Apparently it expired 4/13/13. WTF? I never knew a motor vehicle registration could expire mid-month. The date is in tiny print, as opposed to the big 4/2013 across the sticker which led me to believe I had until the end of the month.
F#$~ers. Must have been a low-crime day to go from car to car checking inspections and registrations to find one that was 11 days overdue. (I assume they were checking both; my inspection is current.)
I suspect I can get the fine waived if I show up in court with evidence that I renewed my registration (which I did promptly this evening online), but what a waste of a day to have to go to court for that s+!$. Court date is June 5. Grrrrr.

Happened to me last summer. Registration was one day overdue, and it was the middle of August.

The girl at work thanked me for the chocolate bar, then asked if I had given anyone else one.
I have the feeling she either missed the point of my gesture, or she's implying that she's not interested.
So, aside from my usual luck bringing me closer to a depressive episode, what's been going on with you guys?

Well it's a day of the week that ends in "day", hence I may be too. Anyway, Icyshadow, it could be that she's wondering if she's special. Although it probably doesn't go well to analyse the thoughts of women*, for that way lies madness.
Sorry to hear about that CH, they are probably behind on their quota. I'm sure you'll you get it sorted, with the minimum of fuss.
Hope the day starts out well and gets better from there.

I already asked her out once. She declined saying she already planned to hang out with friends.
And we've chatted like normal after that for the most part. I haven't had the guts to ask her phone number yet, but now I feel like I'm just being messed with. Either she can't take a damned hint (unlikely) or she's just not wanting to say no to my face. Of course, the third option is what you are saying and that her thoughts are an unfathomable system not too far from a Lovecraftian horror.
Whatever, I'm kind of frustrated but that's fixed by me going more cynical so I won't be as disappointed next time this kind of crap happens.
Because really, the less you expect from other people, the less likely it is that they will disappoint you. I'll probably die alone, but I sure as hell plan to die happy!

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Thursday is here! That means gaming tonight!
Envy. Ever since we had to shuffle our gaming nights to accommodate one player's new school schedule, it's been a wonky sometimes-Friday/sometimes-Saturday schedule. This week it's a Saturday, and we're all impatient for it to get here.

It really is an interesting system. Good for so much more than getting your info to potential employers. From an engineering standpoint, there are a lot of companies out there that specialize in certain things, and it's always good to have a resource that might let you find someone or some company like that. A buddy here at work has apparently had an account for years.

Ours was a Wednesday game, but we moved it to accomodate someone's new work schedule.

Sound like you fell victim to one of those petty, end-of-the-month quota making tickets. Sucks.

Sorry. I should have said tweak the flavor or add more of something the child will not like into the mix. My sister did something like that to her daughter when she was going through her "favorite flavor" phase.
