Sovereign Court

I had a job that required a drug test with hair. They cut a pretty big chunk off, too!

Told myself that I'd defeat my writer block.

Ended up writing one sentence.

Evenin' folks. How is everything out in Fawtl land?

Just found out you can get wienerschnitzel for €7 in München. Thought it was a nice place when we were there - and this does not change that opinion!

Ha, I buy food for almost one and half of a week for €7 (i.e. about 30 zloty). For some unexplained reason most people don't belive that I manage to survive on that...

tis most frosty.

Back from Derp Heresy. One-player session today. Our nascent psyker had her sanctioning and we all played projections of her mind. I ended as her father.

She survived.

We will have to kill her when she finally screws up.

Awwww, Freehold, you don't like my creature names? :(

I will admit that I had to do some manglings to get everything to fit all the letters.

Lots of things in the world are zlote :P

Złoty Polski. Polish currency meaning "golden (one)".

I love your creatures, I just would not want to fight one!

I plugged the laptop today to a friend's charger and it started to charge - so it is only the charger that is broken. No I have to save some 60-80 zloty for a charger to get the laptop back online... *sigh*

Some of them are nice and won't fight your characters.

RPG Superstar 2012

Unless you really piss them off, then all bets are off.

Maybe I should throw more random Polish words here, to inspire creative processes of others?

Clearly, you must make a zloty monster now. One that I would fear. And I do not yield to fear easily!

I have borrowed from Hungarian and Welsh for creature names, and their pronunciations probably don't come close to the Anglicized pronunciations that I envision.

Welsh probably not. Hungarian might or might not. Polish is quite easy as letters have mostly the same pronunciation as in Latin and quite close to German (but not exactly the same) with some special letters and a few

Polish pronunciation.

Oopsh. I might have broken the FaWtLies who are now hopelessly trying to decipher Polish pronunciation...

RPG Superstar 2012

Aieeee! Accent marks! Other accent marks! Strokes through letters!

OK. The pronunciation doesn't seem that bad. :)

There are no accent marks - those are softenings of the base sound (or hardening in case of dot over z).

I have no sound on this computer so I can't evaluate quality of sound files available on that page.

Thought for tonight: I am usually giggling when I see jadwiga in Pathfinder wiki or Reign Of Winter discussions, because it is a common Polish female name (and name of The Kingdom Of Poland's most famous Queen). Shortened petty form Jadzia.

I am going to bed. Night everyone.

Popeye's chicken?

Passed the physical and it's time to study for my license.

Yes, I gave up several niplets too and a cup of urine.

Doctor did not like the sugar levels in my urine. Well, at least he didn't drink from the cup.

The receptionist was

My sister made me angry and I haven't talked to her in the last six days. Serves her right.

Oh, its 90-something degrees in Vegas and it's not even the end of May.

Liberty's Edge

I woke one morning, the sky was grey
a cold wind brought a black wall our way
And until the evening far from home
Where I carry not the fear of Davy Jones

And as the white squall raged
For tomorrow I'll pray
We will be singing on the bow of hope
That carries souls home to lovers alone

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Tuesday! I hope you all have a wonderful day full of sunshine, rose, and BttH!

Don't tease me like that.

I made a new thread on the advice section, but so far only one guy has dropped by.

Also, I should stop procrastinating and get along with my studies.

This Sunday is my oldest brother's birthday. He'll be 48.

He's a tool.

Scarab Sages

The following Sunday will be my birthday. I'm trying to avoid mention of it, just to see if the wife remembers.

Scarab Sages

The Sunday after that is my anniversary (and Mother's Day, I believe). I'm also trying to avoid mention of that, to once again see if the wife remembers (she did not last year).

That Sunday will also be my younger brother's birthday. Some of the Houston dwellers here know and game with him. Others may get to.

Scarab Sages

Good bye for now, FAWTLY Folk! We're almost at work.

Nnnnnnnngh.

Yup. But it should be remembered that in Polish j is longer i like y in yacht or yeti.

I went to bed earlier but I still slept long. Why do I even bother with getting up?
