Robot strippers. A shame there is not a Bender around here somewhere to enjoy it.

Oh wait...

Sorry you're having a rough morning, Freehold. I'm sure Joss Whedon had nothing to do with it.

I have assurances from him that he didn't!

i can't be sure of that - there was a pasty and portly ginger fellow right outside my building today who seemed a bit sketchy...

Oh, so now you don't like redheads? I see how it is!!!
That is untrue -my love for redheads remains inviolate!

So noted.

(It's not just my avatar that has red hair-- at the moment anyway. ;))

Note to self: DO NOT READ alignment threads.

(Resisting ranting about the specifics, but... holy loving mother of gnu that's some scary crap.)

I believe I know the thread of which you speak. And yes. It's very scary. The material itself is awful, but some people's reactions are much, much worse.

Those tend to end in locks anyway.

Yup. Some of the attitudes presented in that thread typify why I walked away from gaming for 15 years.

It's a reflection on human nature, not on the game. Human nature is more difficult to walk away from. ;)

We have off site places for those types of rants. Come by some time.

Oh? I know not of these places. Is there a secret knock or handshake I should know about? Some dark ritual of initiation?

Tired old tree.

Worked til 6. Come home. Wife is feeling ucky, with bad headache. Mobile dog grooming stops by. (My wife's idea.) I change my clothes and begin to work on clogged bathroom sink drains. (Drano cheat not working = dual sinks) Try. Test. Try again. Break snake. (Thankfully not getting it caught in long pipe run.) Come down and find that wife has been nauseous. Comfort wife from long distance. Print tax forms. Go to store and buy whizzbang he-man snake. Buy Taco bell for dinner. Eat quick and back to work. Try. Test. Try again. Win! Wife gets sick again. Chastise teenage daughter for the long hair extracted from drain. Wife goes to bed. I clean bathroom sinks and mop floor. Write check for taxes and will mail tomorrow.

Time to check on wife and for a hot shower, and maybe sleep on the couch.

What a week this has been. Don't think I'll make the all-guy camping trip this weekend. Too much stuff to recover from.

At least I got to play Talisman last nite for a few hours with my buds.

Nite all.

True enough. But I've walked away from acquaintances (I won't call them friends) for that kind of thing outside of a gaming context, too. Life is too short to spend it fear when I'm supposed to be among friends.

Stretches to my full daikaiju height - I on the other hand am fully entrenched as a daikaiju.

Okay. At bike shop. Have just discovered that on my rear wheel, one of my spokes is busted, the entire wheel needs to be tightened up to make sure it is actually circular, other spokes need to be tightened as well. Front wheel will be looked at as well, as well as the chain. May also need to adjust the magnet clasp because when folded the bike needs to stand up straight, and I feel the positioning of the wheels will help that best.
What have you been doing to that poor thing?

i was worried i was being unusually hard on her, but it turns out that the spokes were loose upon assembly, the whole thing needed to be tightened from the bottom up. The chain was altered a bit too, the ride is much, much better now.

Sorry I've been scarce. Life has just been overwhelming. I could go for some "boring" right now.

The role of pitcher over that of the catcher always fields interesting results when the ball is tossed just right over the plate.

Yeah, some people need to just chill when it comes to alignment. Other people should probably realise that the sort of themes and moral dilemmas they want to explore in their own games probably aren't great fodder for an open messageboard.

I'm a treasure hunter? Makes sense, as I'm always looking for hidden booty.
