Can you dual wield dorn-dergars if you have the Dorn Dergar mastery feat?

Rules Questions

One of my players is interested in using dual dorn-dergars. These are typically two-handed weapons, but the feat dorn-dergar mastery allows you to wield this weapon one handed but it takes a full round to adjust to make it a reach weapon or not.

So, cutting to the chase, are you allowed to dual wield these things? I am not sure how feats interact with actual weapon properties. Even though the feat allows you to wield it one-handed, it's still a two-handed weapon, so should any sort of inappropriate sized weapon penalty come into play?

Be gentle, relatively new PF GM here.

Two-Handed Melee Weapons

50 gp 1d8 1d10 ×2 — 15 lbs. B reach

Dwarven Dorn-Dergar: This exotic weapon is a 10-foot-long, heavy metal chain weighted at the end by a round ball of solid iron about
the size of a large fist. By adjusting the slack of the chain, the weapon can be used either with or without reach. Changing between using
it as a normal weapon and a reach weapon is a move action. Though fallen into disuse over the spanning centuries, the dorn-dergar is
still sometimes employed by dwarves who cling to the old ways.
Dwarves treat dorn-dergars as martial weapons.

1st. There's errata on this, you should go find it. I might add it to an edit if time permits.

2nd. No where does it state the weapon stops being two-handed when choked up or down on.

EDIT: Lol, just reread the feat which makes it one handed. Now I understand what you're getting at, my bad.

Simply put, yes. Going entirely by what is written (and the fact that there is NO errata at all (I was thinking of the Meteor Hammer from adventurers armory)) you can duel wield these.

So a 4th level fighter can take the appropriate feats and do d10 base damage with both attacks. Since the dorn-dergar has no "base state" you can choose to always be wielding them with reach. That's a one (two for non-dwarves) feat tax. That's only a little better than wielding two longswords (until you factor in the reach). The reach, however does seem to cost you a higher threat range.

In a 15 point buy game this might be a little overpowered. I always run 25 point buy so this does effect me too much. YMMV though.

Thanks, I may need to look into a house rule about something like this, maybe treating it similar to old Monkey Grip but don't impose the size penalty just the off hand requirement, so he could still dual wield just not 2 dorn-dergars or a dorn-dergar and another two handed weapon but a dorn dergar and a one handed weapon should be fine.

Keep in mind that on top of the feat tax, he's also dealing a -4 attack penalty instead of only a -2, since both are one-handed instead of light weapons.
