So I know I saw someone post an alchemy gunner and there has been a bit of talk about the ranger based gunslinger.
Anyone like the idea of both existing like i do?
The alchemy gunner would be more of a "inspector gadget type" focusing on gimmicks, and ammo enhancements. more of a "grenadier"
The ranger type would be more of the shoot em full BAB type.
The prestige class a scary blend of the two (along the lines of master chymist without the body transformation) Kinda like mac guyver with guns!
I was wondering of those people who have had some builds actually typed up, could we consolidate them here and this thread and talk about them here?
(that way i dont have to bounce threads to look at them)
I'm also really liking the idea of a grit based flurry attack for the "fanning pistols" or shooting a bunch of single shots really fast.
What does anyone else think?

as has been officially stated, there won't be any prestige classes in ultimate magic and ultimate combat.
Those posts I've seen (and partially made) about alchemist gunner was that the gunslinger should be based on the alchemist as an alternative to bomb.
He would then (probably) loose mutagens and infusion would make guns better.
To reduce his spells, he would be able to cast bullets or similiar via spells, which he really needs.
That's how I see how we can still have the gun rules but still have a class viable to use them.
Guns would be like alchemist fire, some rogues still use them, but usually only for one shot, but only one class shines doing so.

I would like it if archetypes could be used for multiple classes. For example, a gunslinger archetype's feature might replace trapfinding in rogues, armor training in fighters, mutation in alchemist, etc.

well i also like the idea of gunslinger based on alchemist, and i too have made some of those posts.
I think it would be really good. I could see grit replacing extracts.
I think guns AND bombs should stay (together).
maybe keep mutagens too.
But, for a NO gimmick counterpart i also really like the ranger based gunslinger with a side kick.
Also very cool.
Either one i like much better than current gunslinger, as written.
