See Invisibility Sight
Aura moderate divination; CL 8th
Slot none (see below); Price 18,000 gp; Weight 1 lb.
Description
You can attach this sight to a single two-handed firearm.
When this is done, the sight becomes part of the weapon,
but can be removed from that weapon with a full-round
action. A firearm wielder can choose to spend a full-round
action to make a single shot with a firearm that has this
sight, ignoring the invisibility of that creature. You cannot
use the sight to see or locate invisible creatures, only to
target them with a firearm attack.
Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, true seeing; Cost 8,000 gp
Question
1) The item caster level is listed at CL 8th level. The spell True seeing, at its lowest class is Cleric as a 5th level spell. This would mean that a cleric could cast true seeing at 9th level Caster Level at the earliest. = Should the CL for this item not be CL 9. ??
2) The last line in the description " You cannot use the sight to see or located invisible creatures, only to target them with a firearm attack ". Leaves me confused. How does one target a creature with a firearm attack if they can not located or see the invisible creature.
How about = "You cannot use the sight to see or locate invisible creature with other attacks, but you can see and locate invisible creatures only when attacking with the firearm attack".
Which makes more since.

I'm kind of curious why someone wouldn't just buy some goggles of see invisibility or use the actual see invisibility spell since it's going to be cheaper to make:
2x3=6x1,8000=10,800gp
And it actually lets you see invisible targets.
Not a good thing to throw out there right after superstar round 1!

I have to admit that the cost is just placeholder numbers. It's one of the things that we wanted to test, and knew that the cost would take some further finessing.
My original pricing was much lower…maybe too low. The trouble is that it’s hard to base this on spells because of the specifics of what we are trying to do. We don’t want you to see invisibility; we want you to target in an invisible creature with a full-round action. It’s a subtle but important distinction

Ok, i see.
Still might want to use a different spell. True Seeing is kind of high for the given effect i would think, and it give you see invisible.
I would think Locate Creature 4th level spell, 7th caster level would be more in line with the effect. (4x7x2000)=56,000=Duration x1.5= 84,000.
Maybe even the spell Augury , 2nd level spell, 3rd caster level would be more in line with the effect. (2x3x2000)=12,000=Duration Divide by 1/2= 6,000.
..........
Goggles of see invisible = (2x3x2000)=12,000=Duration x1.5= 18,000.
Just listed it for easy of reading. example.

Ok -- why not make it something like this:
"You may use this sight to take a single shot as a full round action against a creature benefiting from cover or concealment to ignore the cover or concealment bonuses they have."
