Given that I am a poor public school teacher, it is very hard to justify a room all to myself for Paizocon.
So I thought I would start a thread for all of us looking for room-mates for Paizocon.
So here we go:
Married Female (Partner will not be attending), non-smoker, looking for roommates for the Coast Bellevue hotel for Thursday through Sunday nights (So 3 nights total).
Robyn
Venture Captain/Los Angeles

I am interested as I footed the entire bill last time myself. While I got a better room rate than the 'con' rate thanks to a helpful person pointing out a web advertisement by the hotel company, I would definately love to save more by sharing a room.
I am female and divorced. Oh and I am in California also, though about 3 to 5 hours north of you, depending on which part of LA basin you live.
Edit: Oh and my name's Dawn, and I have only played a single PFS adventure so far. It was at Paizocon last time and was GM'd by the writer of the scenario himself, Rob McCreary (hope I spelled that correctly).

Yeah, I did a room all to myself last time, (bought it with the plane ticket). So it wasn't part of the block. So I ended up in the back, not near the rest of the con block.
I understand that I missed out on some of the con activity centered in the con block rooms, plus my room door was outside, so I got to 'enjoy' the Seattle weather daily (Does it rain there all the time?)
Would love to team up and reduce $$sheckles$$.
I GMed most of last Paizocon, and expect that will be true for this one also, but it always good to get some games in on the non-standard hours.

Never been to PaizoCon before so really excited about this year. Will be looking for some "Rate-splitters" myself, but so far, I only see the "ladies" on here. Co-ed is not a problem for me, but I'll wait to see if any guys are looking for a roomie. In either case, I shower daily, don't smoke or drink, and I'm harmless...really, just ask my fiancé :-).

I'm 38, Male, married, planning on coming in Friday morning and leaving Monday morning. I'm coming up by myself this time, and looking to share a room with anyone who wishes to do so. I'm going to book a double double room, so as to keep the sharing option open. My AAA rate on the website appears to be a little cheaper than the con block rate, so I am tempted to go with that, unless there's a strong reason not to - there was mention of activities happening near the room block - is that a worthwhile concern?

Hi,
I'd love to share/split a room as well! The trip is expensive enough as it is (The Netherlands). I'll be arriving thursday and I'd like to stay at the hotel until monday, so 3 nights.
The Coast Bellevue Hotel has graciously offered us a reduced room rate for Wednesday night through Monday morning (June 8–13) at just $99.00 per night for single or double occupancy. (This is $10 less per night than our room rate last year!) Each room can hold up to four occupants, though the Coast Bellevue Hotel does charge for each additional occupant beyond two (call Coast Bellevue Hotel for details).
So if I understand correctly:
1 person = $99 a night
2 persons = $99/2 = $49.50 a night
3 persons = ($99 + $?)/3 = $? a night
4 persons = ($99 + $?)/4 = $? a night
Could someone check what the extra cost for a third and forth person is? (With timezone differences, language barrier and international callrates it's a bit harder for me to check) And can anyone tell me if the rooms are truly big enough for four persons.
Oh, and I'm male, don't drink, don't smoke, don't snore, don't smell bad and got a girlfiend (who won't be attending). No problems with co-ed arrangements.

Email sent, thanks Robyn.
Edit:
Actually, I got a mailer-daemon sent back to me. I tried both gmail.com and gmail.net, neither worked. I also copied the address above instead of trying to type it (with the at symbol instead of the word). Perhaps check the email address you typed to be sure you didn't leave some vital letter or letters out of it?

That's 4 nights. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I've seen several people miscounting overnight stays and wanted to make sure no one gets surprised when they see that their expected expense is 33% under actual.

Oops! Thanks Mark! (I blindly copied the 3 nights from Robyn. ;-) )
So 4 nights it is!

The shuttle will take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius of the hotel, airport included! According to the reservationist, there's a phone to call the hotel for the shuttle right out of the baggage claim area, and it run every half-hour on the hour.
Really? The airport is more than 5 miles from the hotel. The last two years (before I moved here) I had to take the bus and then the shuttle express shared ride van.

Kyle Baird |

Shuttle Express is $38 round trip if you're willing to share the van ride and leave at scheduled times.
I'd also like to recommend NOT putting 4 people in your room at the Coast unless you like to snuggle. The beds are doubles and the mattresses are horrible. If you try to sleep near the edge you'll fall off.

The Hotel's shuttle will not take you to the airport. You need to use Shuttle Express.
For evening activities, keep in mind that the shuttle stops running somewhat early. I don't remember the exact time, but if you're headed out to some of the great Bellevue bars, don't expect a ride home.

I'm looking for a NON snoring non smoking male to share a room. I'm a married male. I'm a light sleeper.
Mike
Damn-it. That snoring thing gets me every time. I've never heard it ;-), but I've been told. So I guess I need to find some room mates who accept a non-drinking, non-smoking, snoring gamer, who showers daily. I am a deep sleeper and after an 18-20 hour day of gaming, I don't care if you snore too :-)
Any takers?

TK, I'm a snorer, too. But I really don't care if my roommate is, too. I shower daily, have no horrid personal traits other than my third nipple... Wait no, fourth nipple. What?
Wanna room together?

Wanna room together?
Sounds good. I haven't scheduled my flight yet, but I'm hoping to fly in sometime Thursday and back out either late Sunday night or sometime Monday. Since the room is large enough for more, I'd like to secure 1-2 more to offset the costs, if you're cool with that.
BTW, I'll try not to stare at your extra nipples :-)

I don't have a room reserved yet but I would like to stay at the Coast Bellevue Wednesday night through Monday morning. I am a married male, nonsmoker, non snoring, and easy to be around.
I am also looking into travel options and wonder if anyone along the California coast would like to road trip to the hotel. I have driven to Portland, OR several times and have done many road trips with legs as long as 16 hours. If someone would like to split gas I wouldn't mind arranging to drive together.

![]() |

That sounds like a plan. I am arriving sooner and leaving later though, and seeing as we still have a lot of time I want to keep my options open with you two being first on the list. I don't know if I will find a roommate who will be staying about the same amount of time, but having one would help my wallet a little bit more.

![]() |

I am also looking for a roomie. Male, 41, non-smoker, non-snorer. Planning to come in Thursday and head out Monday morning, so looking to share four nights. You can message me at brent.jans at gmail.com.
This will be my first PaizoCon, so I’m looking forward to playing and hopefully GMing with other enthusiasts. Can’t wait!

Also, any word on 1-2 more roomies to split the bill? I have an inflatable mattress and willing to give up the beds.
I have a reservation for a double under my name.

Female, non-smoker, looking for non-smoking roommate(s) for Friday and Saturday nights. I have been to every PaizoCon to date. Looking forward to this one.
You're welcome to bunk with James and I, if you are comfortable with a couple of guys. Just an FYI, sounds like we both snore, so if you're a lite sleeper, join us at your own risk ;-)

Dark Sasha |

Somehow I think my husband (who is not attending) might prefer that I bunk with some other gals. ;-)
Thanks for the offer though. See you guys in June.
I'll need to check with my roomie, Robyn, first. But I think we might be able to make room for another if you can't find a roomie. As things stand, I need to make this trip as cheap as I can. I am staying 4 nights and Robyn is staying 3. So one of us would have to share a bunk. I will volunteer for that. I have a room reserved, a double, requested for the PaizoCon reserved block.

Dark Sasha |

Dark Sasha,
Let me know if you two want to add a third person to your room for two nights. I am driving, so throwing in my sleeping bag & a pad for the floor works too.

Robyn says it's cool. So shoot me an email and I send you my cell phone number so you can contact me once you get in town.
