Adastra/Kyle, you are thinking 3.5 where spell trigger was ok for "anyone with a spell on his or her spell list". PF now gears it for class. I can only assume the change is intentional.
Please don't tell me what I'm thinking.
SRD: Spell trigger activation is similar to spell completion, but it’s even simpler. No gestures or spell finishing is needed, just a special knowledge of spellcasting that an appropriate character would know, and a single word that must be spoken. Spell trigger items can be used by anyone whose class can cast the corresponding spell. This is the case even for a character who can’t actually cast spells, such as a 3rd-level paladin.
The argument against a cleric using a wand of a domain spell seems to be focusing on the "ooc" highlighted text and making an assumption that domain spells, bloodline spells and oracle's mystery spells are not part of their class. The argument for it should focus on the bold text.
If I'm a PFRPG cleric with the defense subdomain, and have the craft wand feat, I can create a wand of Shield.
Craft Wand: You can create a wand of any 4th-level or lower spell that you know.
I assume no one will argue that said cleric doesn't know the spell shield? So the according to your view, the cleric couldn't use the wand he just created?
What about bloodline spells for sorcerers? Mystery spells for oracles? What about a rogue with major/minor magic tricks?
Regardless of your opinion, the specifics of this discussion belong in the rules forum, not in the organized play forum.

*Jedi Hand wave* You are thinking about killing your next PFS group with pink fluffy bunnies.

The rules don't guarantee you can use the item you create. Are you saying you can use a Mattock of the Titans without being huge, just because you created it? A Phylactery of neg or pos channeling if you are the opposite? A Maul of Titans without 18 str? A Druid Vestment because you know polymorph? I guess I should run out and buy some Horseshoes of Speed for my sorc.

What does any of this have to do with pink bunnies?

That is what I want to know! Especially ones of the fluffy persuasion.

Neutral Half-Orc Cleric of Gorum
STR 14[5], DEX 13[3], CON 12[2], INT 10, WIS 14+2[5], CHA 14[5]
Chaotic Neutral. Channels Negative energy
Traits: Sacred Conduit (+1 DC on Channel Energy), Deft Dodger (+1 to Ref saves).
Feats: Selective Channel (keeps 2 people other than her safe).Domains: Destruction, Strength
Favored class: Hit points. Will likely remain hit points until retirement. :)
Skills: Knowledge (arcana), Knowledge (religion)
Equipment: Greatsword, 5 javelins, scale armor.
AdAstraGames, I like the idea of your cleric. I have also tried to build a Negative energy channeling cleric of Asmodeus called Iago Isildur. I built this cleric around channeling primarily and secondly his spell like abilites and spells at the expense of his combat capabilities. I wanted to make sure that when he channeled negative energy he would not hurt the party. For party healing i initially used a wand of cure light wounds. I burned through one very quickly. Then i got my character a wand if infernal healing. I thought it would be "thematically appropriate" we shall see how popular that wand is. Good luck with your character.

Here is what I ended up going with: Pavanna Al-Azario - Priestess of Asmodeus

I've heard their pretty popular - though only work for worshippers of Asmodeus (without using UMD that is).
I am effectively giving up spontaneous casting. Inflict spells suck for damage dealing.
1) Low damage to begin with - 1d8+N rather than Nd6 per level.
2) Require a touch attack (short range, can theoretically miss)
3) Target gets a will save for half of the pathetic damage.
While many things can be gotten around with magic items, this one in particularly is nice. +1 Spell Storing (adamantine?) Greatsword. Takes a good chunk of PA to afford, but being able to pump your inflicts into your attacks is a wonderful wonderful thing.

How does that work for wizards and sorcerers?
I can understand the restriction on clerics but it doesn't seem to hold for arcane casters as wizard/sorcerer is also listed for the spell. They don't get spells granted, but rather know them (either from spellbook or as a spell known) independent of a deity.
