Quick! I need a gestalt build for today...please

Advice

So I'm going to be a guy that rides around on a dragon that I'm bonded to. According to the DM this dragon gets animal compainion class features SO if I'm a wizard it can be my familar etc.
Oh and we're playing Gestalt and we're using pathfinder books. I would like to have a fighting and magic using combo. Any suggestions?

Level? Ability Score generation method? Source books allowed?

Actually there is a PF compatible book specifically addressing Dragonriders. Called, oddly enough, The Genius Guide to Dragonriders. It's a fairly well put together book from what I've heard. You might want to take a look. The PDF is available for only $2.24.

First thing that comes to mind is Ranger / Wizard. (Especially if the DM allows the dragon to be a companion AND familiar at the same time.)

You get good fighting ability, with great ability against a few select types, and great magic ability. (Ability to use most "healing" [curative, and otherwise] wands and scrolls without UMD, and the best variety of spell selections on the Arcane side of things.)

Paladin/Sorcerer would be my first thought. Get that CHA over 20 and rain fiery death or charge with a lance. Bonded mount familiar dragon ftw :P

Paladin / Sorc. would rock, but ill go for dragon bloodline xD just for the flavor.-

Dark Archive

Barbarian / Oracle of nature for 3 levels
To
Rage Prophet / Sorc for 6 levels
Then
Rage Prophet / Eldrich Knight for 4 levels
Then
oracle / Eldrich knight

Full BAB, missing only a few spell levels (but have cleric and mage plus the good druid spells) never exhausted so can go in and out of rage at will (assuming you pick lame). Can dump dex (Cha to saves). Saves for cleric spells nearly impossible (Con + Chr + level). One-man army ;)

The op and his dm should look real hard at this one it's a great product and does exactly what you are looking to do. It almost seems to me the dm already has this one in mind.

Aside I think you need to sort out what you want to do from your dragon. Mounted combat could be good, or archery, or casting spells. Whichever of those interests you would dictate what to gestault with.

thanks guys. Ranger/Sorcerer or Paladin/Sorcerer (either with Dragonbloodline) Decisions decisions. I was also thinking of Monk/Sorcerer. while it does nothing for the dragon part.

Scarab Sages

Monk/Cleric is cool...
Look at all those touch spells......

Ok! a complete 180. He's going to be a warlock(non evil) and something else. I was thinking either Ranger or rogue. Please chime in.
