Monks Flurry Of Blows

Rules Questions

I've been reading the fine print of flurry of blows for a monk and I'm not sure if this is right or not but it just came to mind. It says a monk uses their level as their B.A.B. so lets say you have a level 4 Monk. It's your Strength Mod. + your monk level (4) but then you have a Flurry of blow bonus in the chart. So what im asking is are you adding that flurry of blows bonus on top of your strength mod. and your monk level ? it seems kinda crazy, that would make monks have some of the highest attack bonuses in the game. Lets say you had a 16 str. score. so that'd be 3+4(monk level) + 2/2 so that would be +9/+9 for your full round flurry ? just curious is all. I never really play monks but that just came to mind.

A 4th level Monk using his Flurry of Blows with a Str 16 would be;

Unarmed +5/+5

The reason being that the Flurry of Blows progression on the Monk chart already factors in the BAB along with Two-weapon fighting rules.

So a Monk has a +4 BAB for Flurry but has a -2 penalty for TWF so it becomes a +2/+2.

That makes perfect sense, I suppose I didn't factor in that part of it, Jumped the gun on that one. haha, thanks for the help.

The flurry of blows chart is the attack bonus you use before adding in strength or anything else. It is not really necessary, but I assume they thought the "level=BAB" was confusing so just gave you a FOB BAB chart instead. It is essentially the BAB you have when flurrying

Edit: sooo ninja'd
