One of my tabletop player friend here (in Montreal) left for Sweden to pursue his studies. I was thinking of doing a play-by-post with him to keep the flame of gaming alive! My GM agreed! Anyone wanna volunteer for a play-by-post Pathfinder game?

I'd like to throw my name in. I'm an avid roleplayers, I usually build my character around a concept, so they're far more than just a series of numbers to me. As far as rules are concerned, if something comes up I tend to point out once what is written, since the book is huge and GMs (myself included) don't always know every rule there is, but the GM is the final adjudicator and I always respect that. If they think they're call is better under the circumstances, cool beans.
As far what I tend to play, I usually like skill monkeys, diplomats, and characters that solve problems and encounters through more indirect methods. Bards, rogues, illusionists, and enchanters are always favorites, though I think that with the changes that have been made to them in the Pathfinder system, a ranger or cleric could be great fun.

The campaign is NOT the official Pathfinder world.
Its basic core rules (I think, you wuld have to check with the GM for that)
Its based on a roman style empire but very decadent
Sounds like fun, also sounds chock full of juicy RP opportunities.

I'd like to offer up my services as a rogue or a ranger (I'll go bard if you'd prefer a secondary healer or a face). I've been playing a lot of spellcasters lately, so it'd be nice to indulge in a character who accomplishes his trickery through more mundane means. Regardless of class, I'd like to play a dwarf - a recent thread on here has got me itching to play one that breaks away from the recent stereotype of the drunken raucous boor.

I can probably absorb one of the people who gets wait-listed for this one, or who would rather do something a bit more mainstream PF. A Serpent's Skull campaign, and the Barbarian disappeared over a month ago. There's still a Paladin, a Witch, an Alchemist, and a Sorcerer in the party, as well as the NPCs. There are links in my profile to the relevant threads if you'd like to read up and see.

Any room for a cleric of in such a party? Sounds like they'd benefit from a channeler! I've had an idea for a half-orc holy vindicator that could be pretty neat, and while I could definitely see him parading through ruins of ancient civilizations, I'm not sure why he'd be in Sargava in the first place. The Player's Guide makes mention that Shelyn might tie in someone and she's been one of my favorite deities. Alternately, that same party might benefit from the wilderness savvy a druid could offer (and they seem a bit more in Sargava than a cleric).

Either one has potential to be useful. It would really be up to what you'd want to play. If you want to put a rough character together for consideration, use the following concepts:

@ Man Behind the Curtain:
Id be interested in filling the spot, if its still open. I've got some stats and such worked up for a Dwarf cleric I was planning on running sometime soon, but Id have to alter him for the stats, deity (probably), and campaign trait.
if that doesnt sound like it would work, then Im sure I can come up with something else to fit in better.

Hello,
A minor comment. Your friend could join you using a virtual tabletop software plus skype.
I am doing this since I had to leave my Pathfinder group. This make the GM prepare the battlemap for the software (a jpeg file, nothing very hard). We use skype so I can see them around the table and the software is running to allow me checking the images and rolling the dices.
That was just an idea.
