Badger familiar

Does anyone have stats for a badger familiar. What benefits does the mage get? I know I've seen this somewhere but I can't find it.

I am pretty sure a badger is more an animal companion than a familiar....

Liberty's Edge

I was thinking a badger was more of a "minion."

Why shouldn't an e.g. Erastil worshipping mage not have a badger familiar?!
Perfectly OK for me, nevertheless it's rather unusual.

Anyway, I can't help you with stats.

You can use statistics for a weasel and call it badger.

Ross are you saying Taig is a weasel?

Most splatbooks and the 3.5 rules gave a +2 to the Fort save. other than that, use the badger stats in the book, and the familiar stats as per rules.

Allright, thanks for all the help. The dwarven wizard in my home group wants to use the improved familiar feat to get a dire badger as a familiar. I tend to think it's too powerful. If you were to allow such a thing, what level prerequisite would you reccommend? The only reason I even considering this option is that the pc is venerable age and wants to ride around on his extended enlarged familiar, which I think is pretty cool.

Level 5 or 7. Most of the cr 2 improved familiars seem to be 7 but the dire badger cannot do anything supernatural. Soni would go with 5.

Do you also think of him with the name Francis?
