Now, I'm just thinking out loud, but, since Int items come with their skills predetermined, couldn't someone stock up on ioun stones with all the skills a person might need? Assuming a limit of one floating stone, then additional wayfinders could house the stones, and the headband for additional skills (and potentially higher Int bonus).
Oh sure you don't get more than a +2 to Int, but imagine, any skill only 8k away?
Am I on to something here, or just nuts?

This is a really neat idea- it's sorta like bottled knowledge. Being able to go between things like Survival, Swim, Disable Device, etc. is a cool concept, especially if you choose skills you wouldn't really need every day. The downside of it all is that you'll need to know in advance. It takes 24 hours for the skill points to kick in.

now where did i leave the ion stone with the knowledge: academy award winners on it..
Why take them off? Ioun stones are slotless. Oh sure you'll look like a planetary model from above, but when you're a wizard that knows *everything*, climbs and swims like a pro, discovers what lay beneath the bard's tabard, talk circles around the guard, notice and tumble away from that oncoming ambush, who cares how silly you look?

I would not allow the extra skill to come if the INT was not being boosted (say by multiple ioun stones).
That said you could swap ioun stones to have full ranks in a skill, just not more than 1 'bonus' one at a time.

The ioun stone in question grants a +2 enhancement bonus to Intelligence. As such, I'd rule you can't have more than one active at a time or with a headband active. Not RAW, but the way I see it, you're not getting the Intelligence bonus from each one, only from one of the items (the headband or one of the stones), so you should get only 1 skill, namely the active item. The rest aren't actually boosting your intelligence, so you aren't getting the benefit of increased brainpower. On the other hand, if the first item goes up in smoke, the next one would be available. Otherwise, as someone has pointed out, you could have a high level character that is skill in just about anything (except Perform, who needs that ;p) for a low price. Seems a bit odd, doesn't it?

You are getting skill points, and they do not stack.
No, it's different, as you don't gain skill points from the Int increase, but as a separate bonus from the headband.
Nevermind, just noticed the ioun stones don't grant any skills, and since the Int bonus doesn't grant skill points the entire thread's moot.
