My friend posed a question I could not answer. What is the time needed for repairing a +3 weapon. Following the crafting rules it appears to be about 8 months but it wouldn't take nearly that long to make it.
PRD(glossary):Broken condition
.....If the item is magical, it can only be repaired with a mending or make whole spell cast by a character with a caster level equal to or higher than the item's...edit:Nonmagic items can be repaired with the craft skill
PRD:. Non-magical items can be repaired in a similar fashion, or through the Craft skill used to create it. Generally speaking, this requires a DC 20 Craft check and 1 hour of work per point of damage to be repaired.

Actually it depends. What was quoted above by Concerro is only true for a weapon with the Broken condition (less than 50% HP), and doesn't mention the cost and time involved. Here's some more relevant info:
Repairing Magic Items
Repairing a magic item requires material components equal to half the cost to create the item, and requires half the time. The make whole spell can also repair a damaged (or even a destroyed) magic items—if the caster is high enough level.
And here's the text from Make Whole:
Make whole can fix destroyed magic items (at 0 hit points or less), and restores the magic properties of the item if your caster level is at least twice that of the item.
So here's how it boils down, assuming you want the magic to be restored with the repair:
You need a caster with Make Whole. If the weapon just has the Broken condition, you'll need a 9th level caster. If the weapon is destroyed, you'll need an 18th level caster. It's going to cost you 9,000 GP and take 9 days (half the cost and time of a +3 weapon), plus labor.
