DOJ seizes domain names.

More over-handed government bullying on behalf of corporations thanks to shitty copyright and copyright enforcement laws.

Spoiler:
Don't mind me, as I think the entire rule system around copy rights and patents (not to mention the fabricated idea of "corporate person hood") needs to be torn down to their base elements and rewritten.

Torn down? No. Reexamined due to the light offered by modern technology? Yes.

The double-standards floating around in this "battle against piracy" are appalling.

Want to view a website? Chances are all graphics on that site are copyrighted; this means when you load the site, you copy all the images and are guilty of copyright infringement. Will anyone enforce this? Absolutely not, people need to see the site in order for the advertising campaign to work; so it's OKAY.

Unauthorized file distribution will exist as long as technology is in place; shutting down a torrent tracker will only force people to use ordinary file-hosts, renaming and splitting the file as needed.

Do I have a solution? Not really, but banning a utility has not and will not solve the problem; shutting down sites only forces a change in "venues".

The government blows.
