Eidolon from Qadira

Rules Questions

The Exchange

lol, can an eidolon take the feat additional traits?

if so, can they be regional traits?

if not, could they take the feat to make them considered a race of their choice and then take the feat and thus race traits?

Grand Lodge

I think an eidolon could have lived for a year or more in Qadira if its summoner did.

Do you mean Racial Heritage? An eidolon can't meet the prerequisite. If not, which feat do you mean?

The Exchange

it might be racial heritage, dont remember what it was called so ill assume that it cant. but what about additional traits?

Scarab Sages

under the APG rule I can see no reason why the eidolon could not select the additional traits feat & choose 2 traits assuming he could meet the pre-requisites for the traits

I not believe the eidolon could choose racial traits though

Are you still looking at this for Pathfinder Society?

In order to select a race trait, your character must be of the trait’s race or ethnicity.

The only way I can see this working is for the eidolon to have formerly been of race X (as described later in the paragraph), perhaps by convincing the GM that the summoner called up a petitioner from alignment plane Y to be his eidolon.

He's referring the the trait 'Adopted'. The Eidolon qualifies for the social trait 'Adopted.' And 'Adopted' grants the Eidolon the ability to select a trait from whatever race his adopted family is.

True, actually to select a race trait immediately. Additional Traits gives you two traits. A social trait and race trait are from different lists. That all works well.
