Quickened Call Lightning

Rules Questions

Okay, so this spell is a viable candidate for quickening, but how does it effect the spell? Does it just reduce the casting time of summoning the lightning cloud to a swift action, leaving the actual lightning calling at standard actions? Or does it reduce the lightning calling to swift actions too?

My instincts say that RAW says that only the initial casting is reduced to a swift action, but I'm really hoping that it will reduce the callings to swift actions too.

Quicken Spell Metamagic only reduces the casting time of a spell and removes the attack of opportunity that normal spellcasting causes. It has no other interaction with a spells other game mechanics. So no it has no impact on how long anything takes with call lightning besides the actual initial casting time (from 1 round to 1 swift action).

The lightning strikes that the spell gives you access to are the spells result, not additional spells themselves. As such they are not quickened.

Only the initial spell cast is quickened. Pretty much the rounds following casting you run around the field (movement action) going "duck duck duck duck, GOOSE! (standard action to zap)" while your companion runs interference.
