Mounted CMD

Rules Questions

This camen up in a game recently and I wanted to get some clarification.

If you are mount on a heavy warhorse, combat trained and with a military saddle and a creature adjacent to u attempts a combat maneuver, in this case a grapple, does it a) affect you cmd in any way. B) affect his attempt to pull you off the horse. Or c) in anyway change the sequence of events on a maneuver attempt (I.e. being a large creature, get an attack and/or a chance to negate).

Thanks in advance for any responses.

a) no. Some bonuses that affect your armor class affect your cmd. Deflection bonuses

A creature can also add any circumstance, deflection, dodge, insight, luck, morale, profane, and sacred bonuses to AC to its CMD. Any penalties to a creature's AC also apply to its CMD. A flat-footed creature does not add its Dexterity bonus to its CMD.

THeres no circumstance bonus to AC for being up higher than your opponent (there is one to your attack rolls though)

b) Saddle, Military: This saddle braces the rider, providing a +2 circumstance bonus on Ride checks related to staying in the saddle. If you're knocked unconscious while in a military saddle, you have a 75% chance to stay in the saddle.

-Technically it only applies to ride checks to stay in the saddle, not CMD to stay in the saddle.

c) Your horse does not have reach. neither do you unless you have a lance. If such is the case, you make an aoo as the guy approaches you. You then, unfortunately, cant make an aoo against the mook because you don't threaten the 5 feet around you, unless you can shield bash him, use unarmed strike, or hit him with spiked armor. (and have combat reflexes, assuming you gored him as he came at you)
