There were questions like that about a reprint of the first AP, but Paizo officials said that it wouldn't happen. They need the AP to sell, and many customers would probably not buy the single issues if they knew, the whole AP wuld come out as a hardcover book, especially if the hardcover would be priced less then half of the original price...

Oh, and welcome to the paizo boards, take a look around, hopefully Lillith will show up with some cookies, soon.

Feytharn sums it up pretty well, but in addition, the idea of combining and reprinting/updating the APs is a lot of work and the schedule is tight enough as it is. Rise of the Runelords is still available in PDF form, and sometimes "Burnt Offerings" shows up on eBay.

The Exchange

jacob, there was a thread where James (Paizo) discussed doing a Pathfinder RPG version for Runelords Adventure Path as well as it being done in a single hardbound cover. Not sure if that will ever come to pass but it is something that Paizo has thought about.

They entertain a lot of ideas.

Lisa keeps the company small and cohesive. She firmly believes that "Biggerer isn't Beterer."

Though I must say, if you look offshore of Paizo you have a fairly large camp of freelancers doing a vast part of the material. This company may appear small but its employees clumped with freelancers may have the capacity to pull a project like this off.

The negatives of doing this comes down to creating a product line that will compete with new ones as well as the effort it will take.

IMO, I think they have enough new blood gamers to justify this hardbound however I am not the one with the crystal ball and sometimes the crystal ball...is wrong.

IIRC there was thought about doing it only with Rise of the Runelords because it was the first official AP. It would be updated to Pathfinder from 3.5 but would be at least 5 years in the future. No other AP's were considered for this.

I'm hoping as AP's go out of print the non adventure material from them will be released in some kind of omnibus format or be replaced by a new campaign setting book. On another thread James seemed to like someones suggestion of a Varisia sourcebook. That could take care of the first three AP's in one go if it materialises.
