EXP in adventure paths

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

I was wondering which exp track you are suppoed to use while playing the adventure paths. I figured it was the standard (2000 exp to lvl 2) but itt seems like by the end of kingmaker part 1, the PC's wouldn't be as high a level as the AP makes it sound.

Am I wrong? or should I use the fast advancement method?

3.5 APs = fast
PFRGP APs = medium

Not to bring in the other thread on fixed xp but I've found running APS it simply easiest to not worry about the accounting and just level up when appropriate.

I've found that too. Quite often when I run an AP the player end up on side quests that end up leveling them up too fast. Other times they just seem to avoid the encounters missing out on XP that would keep them in line with AP. It's just easier to just level them up when they need to be at that right time.
