Omission in Starting HP - What should Eidolon's be?

Rules Questions

Sovereign Court

The starting HP section of the Pathfinder Society Guide specifies the starting HP for characters (p14) and animal companions (p20), but not Eidolons. Eidolons have a base of d10, so is it 10+con or 5+con?

Liberty's Edge

Only PCs get the "max" at first level, so they'd probably get the average of a d10 (either 5 or 6, not sure if PFS rounds up. I'd assume up for 6) plus their con.
EDIT: By only PCs I mean "only creatures with zero racial hit dice who take their first level as a level in a PC class."

Dark Archive

It says somewhere that Eidolons are considered Animal Companions for certain purposes, and it would not be a far fetch to assume that that also goes for HP.

Except that Animal Companions only have d8 hit dice (which I assume is where the OP got the 5+con figure) and Eidolons have d10. If you mean "take the average" when you say treat the same, sure. Just not if you mean "read the chart."

You get average which is 5.5+ con mod per HD. So yeah at level one it is 5+ con mod as he only has 1 HD and a single HD rounds down.

Animal companions are a d8 which is 4.5 not 5.5, however Animal companions start with 2 HD which rounds up meaning they start with 9 HP+ con mod.

Scarab Sages

I endorse this post.
