Elemental Fist, how does it work?

Rules Questions

Hello, I'm curious about choosing the Monk of the Four Winds path...

What does Elemental Fist do exactly? Is the 1d6 of damage added to all unarmed strikes that I do? Or is it a separate ability?

It's similar to how you would have used Stunning Fist, as far as frequency and usage goes. Before you attack, you declare that you're using Elemental Fist. Pick an element type, and if you hit, in addition to your normal unarmed strike damage, your attack will do elemental damage of that type based on your level. You can do this 1/round as part of your attack sequence, up to a number of times per day based on your level and class. If making multiple attacks in a round (eg, flurry), Elemental Fist will only apply to one attack, the one you declared before you rolled to hit. Your other attacks proceed normally.
