Is there a hard level cap of 20 in Pathfinder. I know in the core rules it lists up to 20, but can't find a definite yes or no in either the player or gamemaster guides. Perhaps it is in the Advanced Player's guide, but I won't have that until the first. Just trying to figure out what to tell a player that wants to be an arcane archer.
Thanks,

Paizo hasn't released epic (21+) rules for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. 3.5 has epic rules, if you want to adopt them.

Tom Baumbach is correct, there isn't an official epic book out for Pathfinder. However, if you look in the core rule it book it states that the game can be played as epic, and to do so it recommends multiclassing (for instance, 20 Wizard/4 Arcane Trickster). Or as Tom suggested, you can always use the 3.5 epic rules.

Ok, that's what I thought I had read somewhere, but couldn't find anything more specific. Just wanted a basic guideline. I know I could go with 3.5 Epic, but that changes some of the parameters a lot. We'll see when we get there (cause I'm not starting a high level campaign for them).
Thanks for the replies.Qyrath

I will emphasize that I do *not* recommend using 3.5 epic. Those rules are horridly imbalanced and largely "blah."
I have some quick-and-lame epic rules here that I haven't had a chance to play-test. If you *really* want to follow the "K.I.S.S. " principle, then just follow the guide in the core rulebook, though it's only meant to "round out" a campaign, not support one.
