I was in the Coast Guard 11 years. I think I still have one in the basement from my time at the Coast Guard Academy.
I'll go ahead and volunteer to give a class at Paizocon for all GMs since it is now "officially" a requirement. It also applies to all Paizo Staff. No worries though. It should only take about 8 hours to properly teach how to use it and plot a course based on your findings.

ahhh, brings back fond memories of being lost in the woods at Fort Campbell, KY and everyone arguing how to read the topography of the map
