What if I want to remain under a sleep spell after having taken damage?
I believe that would be acting as if you were asleep since you automatically wake up if disturbed.
Though maybe you could have a deep sleeper flaw that requires you to be disturbed for three consecutive rounds in order to wake up after being unconscious?
If you wanted to be subjected to the sleep effects of a sleep spell when it is cast i believe you could just opt to fail your save.

In this case I don't think so.
You might choose to try and sleep but since there was no action on your part to give you the save chance there is no basis to resist it.
I'd probably let you use your stat bonuses as a negative just because I think you should always control your character but by RAW I think the elements of the save are autonomous and automatic.
Some DM's might even roll for you and simply say 'You wake up'.

Using that particular example, no, as the spell says you just wake up, no saving throw involved.
In general, however, yes:
Voluntarily Giving up a Saving Throw: A creature can voluntarily forego a saving throw and willingly accept a spell's result. Even a character with a special resistance to magic can suppress this quality.

Tangentially relevant link: playing dead.

Just wanted to clarify that unconscious people still get saving throws. (Though that is not the case here as there is no save to be made.)
