Hello,
I am fairly new to 3.5 and am definitely new to Pathfinder. I will be playing in a game as a Human Sorcerer and I was wondering if anyone had any advice as far as feat selection was concerned. The core rulebook and advanced player's guide will be the only books we are using.
I plan on staying as a straight class Sorcerer, of the Abyssal bloodline, all the way to level 20. I am not really used to playing arcane casters, so the feat selection has become difficult for me.
My question is what feats are generally regarded as being 'good' and what feats might be essential for me. There are a few out there that I am already seeing, but I would like the advice of player's who have had experience playing Sorcerer's. What metamagic feats are worth taking? Also, keep in mind that we will just be using the core rulebook and the advanced player's guide.
And thank you for anyone taking the time to help me out with this, I really do appreciate it.

I saw that, and it was very helpful. However, I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding the feats in the advanced player's guide. Our group just got the book and we have all gotten mixed opinions on most of the feats which is why I came here. I was hoping that someone might have better knowledge of them than our small group did.

Sorcerors are a bit different, here's what I've learned...
Item Creation feats are not that good. You can already cast the spells you know plenty of times, so a magic item that lets you do it more often isn't worth it. With a short spell list, there will be a lot of things you can't easily make.
Meta-magic feats are GOLD. Learn how these work. You'll have to start with a +1 level adjustment feat, and it still won't be useful until 4th level, but they are THE way a sorceror competes with a wizard.
If you are focused on a particular school of magic, then Spell Focus is a great choice for a low-level sorceror.

I'd take a look at Reach Spell if you cast saving throw spells, and Intensify Spell if you would rather do damage.
Do you intend to go into battle with claws? Or use that acidic ray and other ranged attack spells? That will help determine what feats to take as well.
