The mount. Chicks dig the mount.
To obstruct everyone one else's fun.
No one has ever seen the way you 'Lay on Hands'.
Pally wants a cracker.

Liberty's Edge

Or, Pally IS a cracker. Religious fundamentalist who literally can smack evil with the Hand of God? C'mon, Fred Phelps wishes HE were a paladin!

;@)

Paladins get the really cool underwear.

Paladins have the best hair. *sigh*

Paladins are better than Maguses, due to math(s)

Paladin has a more consistent pronunciation.

Paladins, because worrying about DR is for chumps.

Paladins, because aren't you tired of playing classes where thing can actually hit you?

Paladins, because nothing's worse than spending weeks building your character up to be a huge bad ass and then rolling a 1 the first time you lay eyes on a dragon.

Paladins, because who doesn't want to be able to give yourself the good touch as a swift action?

Paladins, because with them Right actually makes Might.

Paladins, because god's on my side. No really, if he wasn't I'd just be a crappy fighter.

You get to kill things in the name of your god.

If you're a Paladin you can smite Fred Phelps.

And in Pathfinder, you can choose between a mount or a long, extra shiny sword.

My pally never uses a sword.

Granted, she's a Dwarf.

Because being able to wear heavy armor, ride a warhorse and look cool doing it never gets old.

We are a beacon of freshly-laundered goodness!

Because no other class can take on 50+ Orcs single-handedly and live to tell about it.

Frankly I don’t think a Paladin would be any better at fighting a hoard of orcs than any of the other melee classes. Where the Pally excels is going mano a mano with your BBEGs. I’ve never seen a player’s eyes light up with joy more than a Paladin who was just informed we were fighting an evil dragon. Of course this was before Paladins were nerfed to only doing double smite on the first hit, but still.

Nerfed?

*headtilt* Smite evil lasts until the BBEG drops or the pally does.

At least, that's my understanding.

And, I'm one of those pallies whose player's eyes light up just as described.

Detect Evil? Yes, evil. SMITE!! *giddy girlish glee*

Sure, but what class could do so without someone dedicated to heal them? Also, what class can heal themselves as a Swift Action therefore allowing them to complete a Full-Round Action as well?
