Spell-Trigger + Spell Combat

Can a Magus use a weapon in his main hand and spell-trigger item in his off hand?

Example:

Seltyiel (3rd level Magus) wielding a bastard sword has a wand of Shocking Grasp (2nd Level). He uses Spell Combat: Activating the Wand (Concentration DC 17) and then using Spell-Strike to make an attack at -4 (dealing 1d10 Slashing + 2d6 Electricity).

Can it be done?

If not, why not?

If not, can we make that a Magus Arcana?
