I have a Headband of Inspired Wisdom +2 and I want to add INT +2 to the same head band.
To do so, I would have to add half the cost of the bonus to the bas price.
4,000 (HIW) + 4,000 (HVI)*1.5 = Base Price
Base Price would be 10,000. To craft the INT +2 it would cost 3,000 to do it myself.
Question is, what is the caster level. Would it remain 8 or would you have to bump it up to 12 because it in effect became a Headband of Mental Prowess +2?

The caster level doesn't change, at least in my opinion. The same person who can craft either of the two effects on the item can make the combined item. It just takes them more materials and more time. It's not inherently harder to do in the sense of needing access to higher power magic. The CL is used to identify the item and to figure out what the check is for a dispel magic suppressing the item. I don't see your combined booster needing a higher CL for either purpose.

New question. When I craft the item, does it take the time to add the ability or an amount of time to cover the base price of the new item?
Would it take 6 days or 10 days to add the new ability?
The new crafting time is based off of the added ability. So if you're adding 3,000gp worth of stuff, you have to spend crafting time comensurate to 3,000gp worth of crafting time.
