Technical Question on Die Roller

Website Feedback

I'm considering running a D6 Dramatics PbP.

I'd need a way to count successes on D6s, with target numbers that range from 5-6 down to 3-6, and conditionally adding a +1 or +2 to the lowest die rolled in a set.

For example, I'd like this:

4d6+2(4+)+3d6(5+)

to roll 4 six sided dice, add the +2 to the lowest die rolled and count the number of them that came up 4 or higher, then roll 3 six sided dice and count the number that came out 5 or higher, and add those two totals together.

Is there any way to do this?

We don't currently support exploding dice, 'drop lowest', or any type of situational bonus in the die roller. However, we do display the dice rolled, so your best chance for something like this would be to roll 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 5) = 17 and 3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2) = 5 and count them up yourself.

We do ensure that if you edit a post or preview it the die results will not change, so you can enter your dice, preview, and write the interpretation below. So for my die rolls above, I can say that the total for your system is 4. (Two fives, a four, and a three + two in the left set, and nothing over 5 in the right set.)

Thanks, Ross. Any chance that this functionality will ever be added?

It's certainly not needed for Pathfinder, so I'll understand if the answer is "On that mythical day when I have an extra 45 minutes to look at the die roller code. Right now, that's floating around October of 2154."

Also, interestingly - when the results are quoted, the individual die codes go away.
