Sorc / Monk + Magic items

got a fun one here, would this work?

Sorcerer with the Aberrant Bloodline/Monk/ and an amulet of mighty fists with brilliant energy.

With this combo, could the monk do a flurry of blows at an opponent farther then 5' away (depending on the level of Aberrant Bloodline the monk acquired).

On the same note, a choker with monk levels makes a great bag guy.

I'm pretty sure you only get reach when you cast touch spells, not for regular attacks

The ability "Long Limbs" does state that it is good for "melee touch attacks", it says nothing about needing spells.

You are correct. Anything that grants melee touch attacks will work with the "Long Limbs" ability.

Attacks with a brilliant energy weapon are not melee touch attacks; they are melee attacks that ignore nonliving matter. So this combo won't work. However, actual touch attacks just as a ghost's could use this.

Darn! I just noticed that change from 3.0/3.5 I was thinking that Brilliant Energy still made attacks act as touch attacks. :(

Oh well, it was a fun thought.

If you have access to Complete Warrior, you can try three levels of Warshaper. If the math is still right with Pathfinder, you can get it as a Changeling and you'd gain these:
- level 1: size increase on your fists
- level 2: +4 to Strength and Constitution
- level 3: a 5-ft reach increase
