I've browsed old posts for a while now and have yet to find any real definitive answer relating to my question. Most people lean towards extremes with getting answers for grappling. "Can I fling this enemy" etc etc.
In an upcoming game I will be playing a Rank2 Cleric of Irori. Now though he is an actual cleric, he acts like a monk. With his deity being Irori, and Irori's favored weapons being fists basically... well... thats a monk lol. Well my chosen domains are healing and rune. My cleric is rather vain and somewhat arrogant since he knows just how great he is (in his mind) and is working hard to seek perfection just like Irori. Being as he's limited in his combat as far as damage goes, I realized a cool move i thought of is also a great way to increase his damage output if need be. With the lv1 granted power of Rune being an invisible blasting rune in an adjacent square, my thought was to have the cleric grapple the nearest enemy and in the next round basically bodyslam him (releasing the grapple in the process) onto the adjacent square with the rune.
Now for the specifics as i know them. I have two feats i'm able to chose. I plan to ask the DM if he'll allow a houserule for free IUS so i can actually DO damage in combat and otherwise I would be unable to do so without using one of my slots. It has been brought up many times before in forums here with the end result being basically... ask the DM since its not an unreasonable request. My other feats i'm looking at at Imp.Grapple and Selective Channeling. IUS and Selective channeling are a must, and grapple would complete my vision if DM allows it. I also get scribe scroll for choosing Rune... but that's not important here.
Based on what I've read, i'm sort of in a middle ground here. It's not an overrun action, a tie up, not a fling or toss (requiring either large class or a specific house feat), and isn't quite a grapple anymore since it ends the grapple. It's more of a shove if anything since it takes the already grappled opponent and forces them into the adjacent square. Yes, i could just shove/release them into that square, but to display his physical prowess he would want to completely overpower the grapplee and slam/flip them into that square ONTO the rune. What are my options here and what possible limitations should i look at.
**I got very good overall rolls for this guy so i made his weak point his ego...

One of your options when you maintain your grapple:
SRD:
Move: You can move both yourself and your target up to half your speed. At the end of your movement, you can place your target in any square adjacent to you. If you attempt to place your foe in a hazardous location, such as in a wall of fire or over a pit, the target receives a free attempt to break your grapple with a +4 bonus.
Even if you don't actually move yourself you should be able to use the move option to place the grappled in an adjacent square - unfortunately they get a chance to escape. You still have them grappled and restrained in that square though. (you don't occupy the same square as the creature you grapple in pathfinder)
[edit: I notice the rune power is invisible... maybe in this case the grappled shouldn't get a chance to escape until after it takes damage...hmm?]
