Choosing a weapon for Aesthetic reasons

Advice

I have been running a pathfinder campaign for a while now, but one of my players wants to run for a few sessions

so, we have come up with a reason for the party to split (ie, that players character needs to go off to an area in the east to deliver a warning, the rest of the party need to go off to the south, with a vague rendevous set)

I will be playing a sorceror - the Star-theemed one from APG. however, for purely Aesthetic reasons, I fancy going away from the usual choices of weapon, blow a feat, and have some kind of exotic weapon. something big and impressive looking

any suggestions?

I recomend a spear. Like a japanese greatspear. For all intents and purposes, it's a greataxe, but it can be piercing as well as slashing. Dunno if there's a stat block for it, but if not, just use greataxe entry and add piercing. Honda Tadakatsu was pretty impressive, I hear.

Meteor Hammer, goes with the whole star thing plus big and cool. can't remember what book it is in. I will keep looking, also the Piston maul
from the Gnome's book is pretty cool.

Edit: Adventurer Armory

Edit Edit: the meteor hammer is in the adventurer armory book

Another option (not big and impressive, but fits the theme) is the starknife, detailed in the Pathfinder RPG core rules; it's a light martial weapon that can be used in melee and thrown. The chakram (exotic ranged weapon) in the APG does more damage and has a slightly better range, but can't be used in melee.

Some type of polearm with a star-shaped head could work: depending on the size and shape of the weapon, it could use the same weapon stats as a halberd (larger head, shorter haft) or ranseur (smaller head, longer haft).

Also, don't forget about the morning star; you already have it as a simple weapon.

That reminds me of a character I played back in 3.5... an Astral Deva who wielded a Scythe. I didn't care about it's stats that much. I just loved the idea of an angel with a big freaking scythe.
