I'd imagine it works just like 3.5's Powerful Build racial trait but only for weapons. You can use weapons one size larger than you normally (and properly sized weapons as well). I may even boost your unarmed strike damage but I haven't seen it. So you could use a human sized dagger or the two handed sword you picked off a hill giant.
It reminds me of the old Yagnoloth with one human sized arm and a giant sized arm.

well thats why I question it becuase if it was going to work like powerful build why not just make powerful build the racial trait instead of "Large Limbs" ?

Well a Trait is only worth 1/2 a feat and Powerful Build also treated you as one size larger for the purposes of Opposed Manuevers, and monster Special attacks like crush or swallow whole.
Large Limbs = Strongarm Bracers

Had to go find my copy of Pathfinder Adventure Path #25. You can use a large weapon without penaly. So large greatswords, crossbows, longswords, glaives... They're yours to use and with no down side.
As for unarmed stike, Vrock, I have to say no to the increase in damage. While you may use large weapons, you're still a medium creature, I would say you deal damage as a medium creature.

RAW, you're probably correct... But I'd probably allow it for it's cool factor. Makes Chelaxian tielfing monks a wee bit more dangerous!

True. Cool factor does trump RAW heh

I'm still unsure about using a larger weapon with the same number of hands.
the penalty for using a weapon not made for your size is a sensible -2 but means you need to use 1 more hand then you'd normally have to.
so a 1h Large sword , can be weilded by a medium creature in 2 hands with a -2 penalty.
with large limbs you avoid this -2 penalty
however I'm not convinced this trait also saves you from using an extra hand to hold a large weapon.
otherwise large limbs would also let you use medium 2h weapons with 1 hand.

You really have to drop your sense of versimilitude when it comes to weapon sizing. With Large limbs you can use both medium weapons and large weapons normally. Which means you use a Medium 2H sword in 2 hands and a large 2H sword in 2 hands. It's 1 point of average damage so its really not a big deal.

what about a 2h medium sword in one hand ? or a medium 2h reach weapon for that matter
kinda makes the phalanx solider 3rd level ability pretty weak if this is the case.
its not jsut damage its 1h access to weapons that grant trip, disarm, brace, reach etc etc

I don't think it'd allow you to use Large two-handed weapons normally. Compare it to what you can do now:
A normal medium creature can (assuming proficiency):
-Use a weapon of his size with no penalty.
-Use a light Large weapon as a one-handed weapon with a -4 penalty.
-Use a one-handed Large weapon as a two-handed weapon with a -4 penalty.
-Cannot use a Large two-handed weapon.
This trait just seems to get rid of the -4 penalty for the two applicable cases. It does not seem to change the rules in regard to how many hands it takes to hold said weapon.
