Does anyone else think the alchemist could do with something similar to Prestidigitation ?
He's got a bunch of alchemical components it would make sense if he could flavor the parties drinks, or turn water into something tasting like beer/wine, have his water start smoking/bubbling.
spike people drinks to give them a blue tongue or the hiccups. or several other minor effects.
sprinkle some powered on his meal to make it taste foul call the waiter over and complain about the terrible mean and get a free meal :)
or sprinkle something else to make a cheap and crappy meal taste fantastic.
pour some liquid into the town fountain and have bubbles starts frothing out

Well, one could argue that the alchemist has something similar to cantrips once he gets the 'instant alchemy' class feature (which, unlike cantrips, is very late - level 18). The difference is that they are much more powerful and diverse, which is balanced out by the fact that they cost gold/silver.
