Reanimator (alchemist feat)

Homebrew and House Rules

Something weird I've been contemplating for a bit now for an NPC modeled after Johann Conrad Dipple, whose life and times may have inspired Victor Frankenstein whom I shouldn't have to explain.

Re-Animator
Prerequisite: Infusion discovery
Benefit: You may now prepare a serum to inject into a corpse making such spells Animate Dead and the like to be "cast" by an alchemist. Other infusions and metmagic feats may apply as per GM's discretion.

OK, there's some Lovecraft inspiration here too but it has potential does it not?

I was thinking something along the lines of injecting a dead ally to give him 1 minute per level of life.

This is the first thing to catch my attention and make me want to look at the Alchemist. I love your idea and Ogre's idea. This so reminds me of the movie, Reanimator, based on Lovecraft. Great idea!

"Reanimator/necromancer alchemist" is on the list of things for Ultimate Magic.

Glad to know the idea is worth consideration for an official product. Looks like I have another reason to want this project. I look forward to its publication. It is said that great minds think alike, it is an honor that my idea for an option for alchemists was in development before I typed up my idea and posted here.

Why didn't I think of that? Oh wait cause odds are when I do someone else has.

Just yesterday The Troll of Absalom, Dr. Bensi Skule used the reanimated remains of his failed test subjects, aka his body parts to attack my PCs. Next week Dr. Bensi Skule with his revise mutagens going.

So anyway I am all for the re-animator Feat, and I think it should be a feat for anyone with a high enough craft alchemy skill. But a discovery make more sense.

But based on my super level of anticipation for the APG i am not even going to think about the Ultimate Magic for at lest 8 mouths.

APG is awesome, but with just that teaser, I want to pick up Ultimate Magic.
