I'm a little mystified about this feat. Is there any reasons to take it instead of, say, Skill Focus: Perception?
Effectively it gives you +2 to one skill...seems a little underwhelming for a feat, to be honest.
If you already took Skill Focus AND Alertness (and some trait I guess), that's the only way to become an ubermaster of Perception. Otherwise it isn't very useful.
Feats can't (usually) be stacked, so creating a new feat that does the same would be a nice way to ignore the rules. Sharp Senses is ok as it is.

Yeah, ok, if it is to avoid über-stackage, I understand why it is "only" +2.
Honestly even with that reasoning, +2 s u c k s.
However the point is also giving importance to skill ranks gained by your class, over feats.
I.e. It is ok if a fighter spends feats to improve his few skills, but we don't want him to become a master by using feats. Multiclassing, rangers, barbarians, rogues, Int scores and alternate class builds are available for that.
