As I type this, my oldest son is in another room, running his first D&D game for two other boys.
He's been playing off and on for a year, but today is his first time in the DM chair.
EDIT: I just heard him say, "Roll for init."

Congratulations. Here's hoping it sticks.
I remember those first days, 10 years old and just got my boxed set with Keep on the Borderlands. Boy did I ever butcher that adventure...
That's really awesome Lee! You're right to be proud.
All those investments in plush dices finally paid off...
Congrats, too.
Make sure he knows that gold is valuable, and the only way to make their characters really appreciate their shiny new 10 gp is to tear it from the claws of an angry red dragon. And Planetars don't mind being poked with bane weapons.
Thats awesome. I'm trying to get my girls interested in it right now as well. They're 6 and 9. Sadly, they'd be more interested in it, if it were a Bratz RPG. *Sigh*
Passing on the geekdom. Congrats. ;-)
Are both of his parents geeks or only you?
I am asking because friends became parents last Tuesday - friends who met during one of our games and for long time gamed together with us before getting together, getting maried and now breeding ;-)
Best OP in quite awhile.

One of my Players, who just finished DMing the original A Series for me, has a (I think) 6 year old kid who's starting to show some interest in gaming.
The future is bright.
Cool, I'd get goosebumps if I was in your shoes :)
Congratulations, Lee! Good to hear you're passing on the love for the game!
