Magus playtest?

maybe this has been answered and I just missed it, but does anyone know if/when there will be a playtest for the new Magus class?

Magus is not in the APG. It's in Ultimate Magic.

Which doesn't really help the OP of course because the Super Genius version is similar in name only - it's not a fighter / magic user hybrid class.

To the OP, as others have correctly pointed out Paizo's Magus class, which IS a fighter / magic user hybrid base class will be in the Ulimate Magic book (and not the APG) and the word is that there will be some sort of playtest closer to the time - most likely next year

Assuming that Ultimate Magic comes out around this time next year, I would assume the playest schedule will be in the same general ballpark for the Magus as it was the APG classes although maybe it would be a tad closer to the actual product since its one class not 6

the last playest started in Nov 2009 I think and ended at the end of January 2010. Maybe January 2011 will be the Magus playtest if I had to guess

I am certain that the playtest won't be until at least a week or two after Gencon. They will likely announce the official dates and times at Gencon but they haven't announced a specific start date yet.
