My wish would be RP Tools combined with Skype. Unfortunately I don't have the skill level yet with PR tools and it would be a very long time before I am competent enough to run a game.

Hi

Can't see why this has to be limited to Australia. The 'Net is planetwide, so it's just a matter of time zones.

I'm happy to try out my RP software & Skype, and see what happens.....

Thanks

I remember an article on d20 Source about using Google Calendar to organise players across time zone. Each player selects time periods in the week they can commit to, and Google Calendar adjusts the time zones, showing when in the week there's a suitable block of time for everyone.

I would be interested as well

I'd also be interested although I have no idea how to do the skype etc thing but have played in a few pbp's. I'm located in Brissie, 3am would also be no good for me.

It's cool that there's so much interest in this, though I don't think Projekt Z is suggesting scheduling the game at 3am Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Rather he was bemoaning the fact that he'd have to wake up at 3am to participate in games scheduled on Google Groups during midday, U.S. Eastern Standard Time.

Hi Bacchreus,

I'm organising PaizoConOz in Brisbane, Thursday 23rd - Sunday 26th September 2010, during school holiday break, in lieu of GenConOz which was canceled recently.

Did you attend GenConOz last year? Are you interested in coming to PaizoConOz this year? Are you in contact with any other local Brisbane players who might be interested in playing?

There are several interstate players flying into Brisbane for the event, but I haven't heard of any local Brisbane players until now. In fact all of the GMs for the event are interstaters. We're really interested to meet local Brisbane folk to encourage a Pathfinder community in Brisbane if one isn't already happening that we're unaware of.

I'll be making a big announcement here on the Pathfinder Society messageboards, hopefully tonight or soon after, regarding venue, games schedule, session times, costs etc.

Cheers,
DarkWhite

I realise this thread is wildly out of date now, but we've had an online site/chat set up for PFS for years.

Take a look at pfrpg.com.au.

We play in chat, via voice over skype and mostly use a super-simple mapping tool called Combat Assistant (CA), available on the site. Just register an account and you'll be sent invites to any future games.

It's not limited to Australia only, though most of the games tend to run on weekends in Australian-friendly timezones (GMT+10 or 11). Because we get people not in Australia keen to play, we're happy to adapt times of games to suit everyone, and we're happy for anyone to GM regardless of where they are, using whatever style they want.

The intention is to have a place where we can hang around and talk Pathfinder (and d20 in general). Lots and lots of Pathfinder.

All the instructions are on the site, including a one-click to a mibbit chat room if you just want a quick looksee.
