I recently purchased the GMG and I really like p.55 of the book. A dictionary and thesaurus are a big part of my resources when getting an adventure ready. So inspired, I'm inclined to share and add some words from my own personal GM glossary:
Admixture, aegis, alderman, apocryphal, backwater, cadre, canton, enclave, magus, mettle, motte, punitive, sedulous, slough, stalwart, sundries, tincture, viceroy, warder
Feel free to add words you think a GM should know.

I loved page 55. More words: eschatology, imperious, numinous, ontology, sycophant, taciturn (good for dwarves)...

Didn't we have a thread JUST LIKE THIS about a week ago?

Words every GM should know?
How about: "That's it exactly, I didn't think you'd figure out this complicated plot. Good work! You get <insert number here> bonus experience points."
and "Well drat, I thought that <insert monster of choice here> was sure to kill at least one of you."
and "Oh, you've read this module? Cool! I'm making you my co-GM for this run. You get to play all of the NPC's the other players are going to encounter."
Anybody have any others?

"Guys, your characters just don't know why ... you're just going to have to trust me."
"DC?!" [my gamers are notorious for not telling me the DC when they cast their spells]
"So, what do you do?"
"...." [they are also notorious for just sitting there and doing nothing ... i'm always having to light fires under them]
"No, John, that was 2nd edition."
"It says that in the PFCRB? Are you sure? Show me."
"Next... NEXT!" [my players somehow never seem to know when it's their initiative and get bogged down deciding what to do rather than watching the action and deciding while it's someone else's turn]
Is it just me, or can any of you relate?

I bought a copy of the GM guide too, if i used those words, I'd then have to supply the players with dictionaries also...

Personally, I'm just curious to know who put 'phallus' on that list.

            "No!"
"You don't know it"
(when player wants to obtain information with certain divinatory powers - my fellow players already understand this as request for being precise while using such powers) "Ask your question"
Also, nonverbal communication is also important GM should be able to smile in a variety of ways: threatening, contemptous and mysterious.
