Question about clerics of pharasma and the death domain.

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Pharasma finds the undead abhortant from what I have read.
One of her domains is death, which just so happens to have a bunch of create undead spells.
3 - animate dead 6 - create undead 8 - greater create undead

Are her clerics just supposed to never use these spells or is there some justification to use them I don't know about?

This is a problem with several other Death domain clerics (if you have Gods and Magic).

I do prefer the less cartoonish take on death that some gods are implied to have, but it seems like the Death domain didn't get the memo.

Perhaps we should invent a "Mortality" domain that can serve as an alternative?

(Mozart's Requiem came on Last.fm just as I was responding to your post, it's a sign!)

Here's what I'm thinking. Let me know if you can think of some good domain powers:

Mortality Domain
You have stared unblinking into the great beyond, and know the power of death. Unlike the clerics of the death domain, you neither revel in in death nor do you seek its perversion in the creation of unliving monsters. Rather, you recognize the inevitability of death for each mortal creature and seek to embody that fate.

1st — deathwatch
2nd — gentle repose
3rd — speak with dead
4th — death ward
5th — breath of life
6th — undeath to death
7th — circle of death
8th — finger of death
9th — soul bind

I don't, I got my info from the pathfinder wiki, linked from the d20 site. It certainly does seem like mortality would be more appropriate for pharasma though.

Thanks.

Pharasma already grants the repose domain, which is essentially the same as Evil Lincoln's mortality domain.
